Going into the wedding planning process, it helps to have a strong sense of who you are and who you and your partner are as a couple. This will help not only in managing the stresses of planning generally, but also in making otherwise-difficult choices when it comes to putting the elements of your big day together. Bride Jessica explains that for their wedding, they initially wanted to use burgundy as the accent shade as it signifies elegance. After some reflection, they decided that while burgundy was lovely, it would not be reflective of their relationship which they think of as elegant, yes, but with a touch of their sunny dispositions, too. The perfect accent color turned out to be terracotta, and the couple wove the shade into their styling without hesitation, as you’ll see in these photos by photographers We Finally Made It. 

In keeping with the sunny and lively feel of the day, Kean and Jessica’s church venue, the Lord’s Ascension Parish, is a place of rising and “lifting up” — coincidentally, there’s a good amount of a happy terracotta shade in there, too.
