7 Things You Can Do to Get Rid of Wedding Day Stress!

Picture this: It’s the day of your wedding, the moment you’ve been waiting for since you were a little girl. You’re brimming with excitement at finally seeing everything you’ve prepared come to life. But amidst all that happiness, several worries occupy your thoughts: Have all the suppliers arrived? What if I have a wardrobe malfunction? On top of that, you could also be exhausted and sleep deprived because of last minute preps leading up to the big day. How do you ward off those negative feelings? We’ve got you covered! Check out these tips on how to feel your best– mentally, emotionally, and physically–on your wedding day!

Get a Good Night's Rest
We know that anticipating your wedding day makes it hard to fall asleep! However, you can never neglect the importance of rest and sleep. You’ll thank yourself for it later, too! A good night’s sleep, of at least six to eight hours, will help your body recover. You’ll most likely wake up in a better mood. Plus, you’ll gain all the energy you need for an entire day of wedding activities.

Surround Yourself with Positive Energy
This is why it’s important to choose your entourage wisely! They’ll be the ones accompanying you and holding your hand throughout the planning process up until the day of the wedding. They play a big part in keeping you calm and happy, so you’d definitely want to be surrounded by the people who love and support you. Stress can easily go away when you’re around friends and family who do their best to make you smile on such an important day! So, a good criteria to consider when choosing your entourage is who you want to be spending a lot of time with during your wedding.

Stay Hydrated
Water is your best friend! Try infusing some lemon if you’re feeling bloated. It also provides you with a supply of Vitamin C! Hydration will make your skin glow, too. You’ll be in a happier mood, and you won’t have to experience your energy levels crashing down.

Move Your Body
Set aside time for a quick workout before you go in for hair and makeup. Go for a short run, walk, or even do a 20-minute yoga flow. Get your heart pumping and break a little sweat so you can start your day on a high note!

Eat Well
Load up on fruits, vegetables, protein, and the carbs you need to feel happy, satisfied, and energized. Don’t skip out on meals just because you’re busy on the day of your wedding. Be prepared with some crackers or small snacks that are easy to eat, because the last thing you want to feel on your wedding day is be hungry!

Prepare Ahead of Time
To help ease some of that nervous energy, it would be a great idea to have a checklist and to pack things you’ll need in advance. Prepare a sewing kit, first-aid kit, and a makeup touch-up kit. Who knows what could happen? Tiny mishaps could occur, so save yourself from stress by having tools on-hand. If you need items like a change of shoes, make sure to have that in your bag the night before. Preparation is key!

Make Self-Care Part of Your Wedding Day Activities
It’s your day, after all. You’re free to do whatever you want to make it as cheerful and as meaningful as possible. You can even share your self-care habits with the rest of your entourage. If that means putting on a face mask first thing in the morning, diffusing essential oils, or eating a hearty breakfast, go ahead and do it. Have a bubble bath the night before your wedding. Play your favorite songs and have a dance party with your bridal squad. Take some fun pictures before and during actual preparations. Do anything that simply makes you laugh!

The important thing to keep telling yourself is that your wedding should be a day filled with nothing but love and happiness! Do you have other ideas on how to feel your best on your wedding day? Share them with your fellow brides in the comments!
