South Africa has always been one of my bucket list destinations, so just imagine my excitement when I found out Avi and April’s wedding was held there! Besides the stunning venue, this wedding was filled with beautiful tradition and culture, which makes me love it even more! I just adore it when couples bring their individual roots to their special day, because it adds a more personalized and unique feel–this is something you should think about too, really! Oh, and did I mention this couple had two ceremonies, both a Christian and Hindu one? Full of color, vibrancy, and smiles, this is a big day you should see for yourself. The highlight of this wedding? Now that has got to be the bride’s non-traditional two piece wedding dress by Asia Coronel! It’s sleek, it’s simple, it’s different–and I’m loving it! I think it’s great how more and more brides nowadays break away from the traditional (although there’s absolutely nothing wrong with sticking to the gorgeous classics too). Continuing the unique streak, Iya accessorized her wedding dress with big statement earrings from MISA by Iya and Marquis, a pair of beige velveteen boots, and a bold red lip. Mix sure got himself a fab and fearless bride! Plus, another thing I loved about this wedding was how each lady from the entourage wore different white and red statement earrings! It’s a sunny morning in Villa Natura, and with the beautiful view of the Taal lake set before us, it’s all smiles for Kryz Uy, a fashion blogger, and Slater Young, the 2012 PBB winner, an engineer, and businessman. With Lindsay Co-Alog doing Kryz’s makeup on the side, the team of Qurator Studio preparing the outfits, and Pat Dy setting up his camera, the scene was absolutely perfect for the couple’s chill engagement shoot.
