5 Topics Every Couple Needs To Discuss About Their In-Laws

Being married for almost ten years, I’ve learned a lesson or two about dealing with the in-laws. Couples don’t realize how extended family has such a big impact on their relationship. A lot of newlywed couples have a difficult time dealing with this sensitive topic. While I do not claim that these tips are the only sure practices to totally eradicate challenges you might encounter, I do believe that practicing these can protect your marriage, as well as improve your relationship with your in-laws. So I listed down five topics I highly encourage you to discuss with your partner, even as early as your engagement days and even all throughout your marriage. These might also change over the years that you are married, so you might want to revisit this every so often.

Rustic by the Beach: This Couple Opted for a No-Flowers Wedding!

When you trust nature to make your wedding day look breathtaking, it will always exceed your expectations–just like how it did in Mark and Zarah’s wedding in California. The blue sea gently touching the brown sand, that contrasts with the different shades of green, was the standout backdrop of their intimate, rustic celebration. Only minimal styling was required, so instead of flowers, the couple used greenery for all the bouquets and centerpieces. They also had bible verses calligraphed on wood to serve as the aisle decor. Wine red bridesmaid dresses and groomsmen suspenders were accents that popped out very well in this wedding too! It’s really hard not to fall in love with this set by Pretty Branch Photo! So scroll down and see it for yourself!

An Elegant White Winter Wedding with Touches of Dust Blue and Red

When we came across Dakota and Myka’s winter wedding in New Jersey, we knew we just had to share it with you! It’s beautiful how the dusty blue colors of the bridesmaids’ dresses, together with the bold red suit of the groom, really stood out against the white snowy backdrop of the place. The bride’s grand and intricate gown–which was custom made by her mom, by the way–together with her fur coat, which was also custom made by the groom’s dad, matched the wedding mood and made her look like a regal winter goddess. Tying the whole setup together were three other elegant details: the trees with hanging white flowers as table centerpieces, the simple naked cake adorned with fresh berries, and the cozy ambient lighting that set the mood. So go on and check out this magical winter celebration through Nice Print Photography‘s shots!
