This Bride Had ‘No Boyfriend Since Birth’ Until the Right One Came Along

Some love stories take time. They begin only at the right moment when you are truly ready to open your heart just like Mutya was. Before she met JR, 38-year old Mutya had never been in a relationship. She labelled herself as ‘No Boyfriend Since Birth’ or NBSB. Feeling like she was already getting too old to find her better half, Mutya accepted the fact that she would remain single until her hair turned gray. She would even jokingly tell her family, “Tanggap ko kung tatanda akong dalaga, nandiyan naman ang home for the aged!” It turned out life was meant to go in a direction that she least expected. Mutya’s Mom had been praying and wishing that her daughter would find someone to love and spend her life with. When Mutya discovered her Mom’s wishes in 2018, she began to seriously consider getting into a committed relationship. Mutya left her fate all up to God, but she also added a request in her prayers, “Sabi ko talaga, Lord, gusto ko po talaga ka-age ko po sana.

After wholeheartedly deciding that she’s ready to pray for and be with ‘the one,’ it didn’t take long before Mutya met JR. And, yes, he is also 38 years old! They got engaged after 10 months of being a couple, and got married on their 20th monthsary. It might seem like their relationship progressed quickly, but for JR and Mutya, everything fell into place at the best timing. We hope JR and Mutya’s story will inspire you, too. Enjoy scrolling through their wedding photos by Spheres and Flares. (Pull Quote): "I'm thankful and blessed na may JR na dumating sa buhay ko. Naniniwala ako na si God talaga ang writer ng aming love story." Mutya, Bride

What makes this wedding even more adorable is the groom, being an only child, tagged his dad to be his best man. An Ethereal Garden Wedding with an Aisle of White Rose Petals

The pandemic may have cancelled Seth and Ren’s dreams of getting married by the beach, but all the changes led them to an even more magical celebration in an ethereal garden. This couple said I do under a large tree with lanterns and lights hanging upon the branches. What a romantic scene it was especially as day turned into night! The bride also walked along an aisle laden with white rose petals and we love how they thought of this detail instead of just leaving the grass bare or lining the path with floral arrangements. The subtle elegance makes the ceremony space truly shine. Plus, the combination of white, green, and hints of brown makes this wedding even more cohesive and pleasing to the eyes. Seth and Ren may have encountered many highs and lows during their planning journey, but their love for one another and faith in God’s perfect time all resulted to such a memorable wedding day.
