Video: Embrace Life-Changing Moments

We’ve known Mayad Studios for their hands-down-amazing videos. We’ve known them for their ever-so-popular Mayad Academy. We’ve known them basically for the prestige and honor they bring to the Philippine wedding industry. So today, we excitedly anticipate the new change they so creatively made me so curious about. Here’s a teaser that will make you count the days until March 10, 2012.

Cherry Blossom Chic

What do we love next to a detail-filled wedding? A bride who is hands-on with styling her affair of course! Good thing we struck gold cause we have both (you simply must read what the bride shared at the end of this post)! There’s just something so romantic about Japanese-themed weddings. Tim and Sherry’s fête is a testament to that. Throw in a good mix of well-thought-of D.I.Y.’s , pretty flowers and girly frou-frous… you’ve got yourself an inspiration to remember. So here’s to the cute couple and their equally whimsical day. Cheers!

Passions and Pleasantries

I don’t know about you, but I prefer starting my Mondays with something light, fresh and calmingly simple. I know we have a busy week ahead, filled with gorgeous weddings and things. So let me begin the week by sharing with you a beautiful affair. With a tranquil backdrop as a setting, Trant and Hailey’s wedding was perfectly captured by a B&B fave photographer Pat Dy.  Because his pictures have often found it’s way to our pages, I am not surprised that we have another one today. Watch out for Hailey’s nail art! Pretty cute idea if you ask me.

Pretty wedding, check! Cup of coffee, check! Now on to the rest of the day! Have a great one loves!

The Fozzy Book: Chic Calligraphy

Hello lovelies! You are gonna love this recent discovery. I am over the moon in love with The Fozzy Book. Let’s see… hmmm, there’s that gorgeous calligraphy… and those chic wooden signages. Then there’s the whole load of options for invitations, letters, and everything font pretty. I just have to share Fozzy’s work to you style-savvy brides in search of exquisite details to add to your affair.

From Fozzy:

The defining service for me is the calligraphy on wedding envelopes (it started out with this). And then clients started asking me to write for different elements in their wedding–like table labels, return address stamps, and souvenirs. I’ve also written stanzas of favorite songs and excerpts from poetry, including one that was to be tattooed.

The most recent service I’m offering is hand lettering on wood. Have been wanting to do this for a while, and I’m glad to be finally able to share it.

That’s the analog part of my love of lettering.

The other part is my love for typefaces and how they play such a big role in design. Another service I do is design for wedding paperie–monograms, invitations, and save the dates. Now it’s even extended to designing logos for some products and services.

All in all, I like infusing a clean yet rustic aesthetic in everything I do. And I’m really happy that people are liking it.

For the Bride: Bridal Elegance Video

As a bride, it’s all about catching precious moments like these in a frame. But what if it only gets better?

Here at B&B, we love new and extremely romantic ideas and embrace the concept of capturing the beautiful elements of one’s wedding. So let me introduce a fairly new (in the Philippines at least) wedding videography term for bride-to-be’s out there.

Bridal Elegance: A term referring to a video shoot in the style of a fashion shoot that depicts the bride in her wedding gown. Can be done before, during or after the wedding.

Okay, imagine this: Your wedding day will probably be one of the days when you look your extreme best. That diet and rigorous exercise regimen has actually paid off, or if not, the stress most likely allowed you to shed a few of those unwanted pounds. You have been excitedly anticipating that big day and wonderful emotions of joy, love and longing have been overflowing from your heart. Best thing is your gown is totally gorgeous and you have been trying it on over and over again a few days before your I do’s. Everything is lovely perfect and quite surreal.

Now here’s where Bridal Elegance comes in. Why not capture all the beauty, joy, excitement, and style on film? You might be thinking you’re too shy to be the only one in front of the camera, or that you don’t know how to act, am I right? Truthfully, it will be your videographer who will make sure you are comfortable and direct you on what to do, so don’t worry! This may not be for the fainthearted but I’m sure for those who are willing to try it, they will not be disappointed (I would have done it myself!). 50 years from now, you get to share it with your grandchildren and enjoy it as much as you would your other wedding videos.

Honestly, I have a feeling this will be a very popular demand from brides especially since Mayad Studios has shown us how beautiful it can be (first video is my fave!). Here are some sample Bridal Elegance videos they did to help us get into the Bridal Elegance Bandwagon.
