Scarlet Sophistication

I must admit, I have never in my almost four years of blogging imagined that I would be able to feature a wedding as edgy as this. For starters, the bride wore a red gown. Yup, you heard me right! A RED WEDDING GOWN. But lo and behold, today is a day that will be unlike any other. Tony and Hsiao’s wedding will show us how a dark-avant-garde-not-your-everyday-wedding can actually be soft, romantic, and brilliantly pretty as well. And truth be told, I found myself hopelessly adoring the Vera Wang number worn by Hsiao. And this bride is not only beautiful, but is also the genius behind their wedding concept. The styling, the invitations, the cake, the outfits, the colors, the decor, the details… all come together for what I can say is a truly one-of-a-kind breathtaking celebration.

Basking in the Majestic

This Bali pre-wedding shoot of Aldrich and Sydney captured by Metrophoto has left us lost for words. The beautiful and majestic scenery is just as mind-blowing as it is utterly surreal. Yup, it’s not everyday that you get to celebrate your love against a backdrop this divine and exotic. So, what are you waiting for? Bask in this beautiful story of romance, folks! Everything is perfect, just perfect.

Coastal Chic Celebration

If you experience some shortness of breath, heart palpitations, and a sudden desire to faint after seeing these drop-dead-gorgeous photos of Tyson and Delores’ Boracay wedding, know that you are not alone! This has got to be one of my favorite seaside affairs because it’s the epitome of chic elegance. We can’t deny how stunningly beautiful the bride looks in that embellished Monique Lhuillier, and her dapper groom definitely compliments her in that classic Randy Ortiz tuxedo. Notice how the hints of black still feels very light and adds a sophisticated touch to the whole look? I reckon the balance is plain brilliance! And isn’t that bouquet just amazing? But wait, we’re not yet done! Another thing that deserves to be noticed are those charming knot inspired invitations by Printsonalities, understated yet definitely tasteful. We’re glad that MangoRed sent this our way because we can go on, and on, and on raving about how much we’re head over heels in love with this coastal celebration.

Have an inspiring time browsing away!

Adoring Delicate Daintiness

Today’s post is a little different because I won’t do much of the talking. When I saw Chi and Nix’ wedding, I instantly fell in love with it (I mean, look at that exquisite gown, right?)! The story of how B&B became a part of this beautiful wedding just leaves me speechless.

From the Bride:

It was at Bride and Breakfast that I found not only my photographer Randolf Evan (who is now one of my favorite people in the world), but also pegs for my bridal gown, and where I realized the magic of Antonio’s, that eventually became our wedding venue. But more than that, it was here that I discovered, and was assured of the kind of wedding I really wanted to have. How many times I recall going back to the particular B&B post, Thoughts on Philippine Weddings. I almost felt as if it was a friend supportively saying that “It’s alright to go against the current”, that it can be nice to have the reception at brunch, that it’s not the end of the world if you don’t have a prenup photo slideshow, that what’s important is to “live the moment”; and to really, truly, LIVE the first day of your life together.

So thank you, Bride and Breakfast. Because even before our Do It Yourself with Love wedding became a product of the labor and love of our family and friends, it was already, first, inspired by you. And really, thank you, for what you do everyday! You have not only been inspiring, but also liberating.
