The Nook: A Family Trip to Cebu

A lot has happened in the last two weeks. I actually experienced my first Mother’s Day, in fact, I am currently enjoying my first iPhone, my son’s thoughtful gift (of course we all know it was my husband behind all of that)! I love having a phone with a good camera because I get to capture important moments, especially with my family.

We flew to Cebu over the weekend for a wedding. It was such a beautiful affair and I can’t wait to feature it! A little sea, sand and sunshine was definitely enjoyed. Oh, and on a side note, if you ever want to get good Silvanas, then you MUST try Cebu’s Silvanas by Mrs. U (killer)! I brought home a dozen packs… uh-oh!

For now, back to blogging! Don’t forget to check out today’s feature on hand-painted wedding cakes.

Ian and Matti all set to leave Manila. Destination: Cebu!

My two handsome boys enjoying the gorgeous beach.

Matti is camera-ready. Definitely a super cute moment.

Cute little toes.

Dad and Mom sun time.

On my way to the wedding in a dress I got to design myself. I love lace!

With my dear friend, stylist Rachelle Que.

Bye bye Cebu! We’re going back to Manila!

Beautiful Beginnings

There are moments in life that are so overwhelmingly heartwarming. Walking down the aisle and marrying the person you love is really one of them. Today’s wedding video is really an inspiring testament to how two people vow to forever. Jason Magbanua did a super spectacular job capturing Pastor Robert and Jennifer’s wedding–every frame of this video is so amazing. It’s a great way to kick of our week of inspirations.

More than this being a beautiful celebration, the story behind it is even more inspiring. Pastor Robert Hern’s first wife passed away a couple of years ago. Him finding love again is such a wonderful story of how God has blessed him and his daughters after their loss.

Waves and Wonder

Walking up to all these amazing celebrations is one of the best things about running a wedding blog. So here we go folks, our Tuesday treat is here! Serenity and sophistication envelop Lowell and Mylene’s wedding. Of all the prettiest details in this affair, I am particularly smitten by that gorgeous veil detail. Everything else spells out pure exquisiteness. Yes, this is another wonderful set from a B&B regular, Metrophoto. Be inspired. Sending hugs and love to all of you!

Luxe Filipiniana Bridal Shower

Here at B&B, we just love, love, love the pretty. And because of that, we’re gonna start off our week with a bridal shower that is all about beauty. Here’s a thought: Throw a gorgeous bridal shower with a Luxe Filipiniana theme. Why? Because it’s elegant, it’s feminine and it’s modern meets the classics. This is such a feel good affair that will leave everyone gushing. Therese Jacinto, a good friend (based in San Francisco… BOO!) and a wedding stylist known for her taste and pure creative genius, sent this my way. I’ve been bugging her to move back to the Philippines and bring her craft that I’m sure a lot of B&B’ers will gravitate to! For now, this inspiration will have to do.

Tip: Pretty paper and details, details, details!

Check out her blog Brass and Linen for more tasteful goodness.

Seashells and Sweet Summer

There are weddings that I enjoy. Weddings that make me look and say “What a pretty sight that is!”, then I’m off to my merry way. But there are also those handful of weddings that make me stop, take a look, then stare, then dwell… until I find myself hopelessly swooning. Karym and Mabeth’s lovely beach wedding is exactly that. From the totally cute and chic wedding outfits to us commending The Wedding Agency for doing a superb job in conceptualizing a fun laid-back affair, everything is just seaside perfection. And yes that bouquet by Vatel Manila and boutonniere by {etc} Handmade Goodness are screaming DETAIL HEAVEN!!! It’s our first time to feature Mark Cantalejo‘s work, but I am surely hoping it wont be the last.

Enjoy this sweet summer wedding!
