It’s funny how friendships are built– some happen over a span of years, some happen almost in an instant connection of personalities. I remember my college days when Bibai and I met. Clicking almost instantly, our laughs came as easily as breathing. Those were some ten years back, and today, she too is married. No matter how many weddings I see everyday, seeing a friend walk down the aisle never gets old!
I write about this with a sense of sadness because I missed her big day due to some obligations here in Manila. Sigh It’s sinking in… I missed one of the most beautiful affairs of 2012. Mind you, I am not exaggerating or speaking in code, I really think everything about this wedding was oozing with elegance and tasteful elements. From a posh bridal dinner the night before the wedding to the surreal classic-old-Hollywood-ish celebration into forever, everything spelled perfection. Getting a live feed of the whole wedding made the thought of missing it bearable (or did I just torture myself even more?).
Baguio is beautiful, but Bibai, you were definitely the belle of the ball.
I cannot wait to have their official photos in our collection of beautiful wedding features. For now, I thank Instagram and my paparazzi friends who kept Tweeting and sending these photos my way..
Today’s wedding menu serves a quirky bohemian affair. How fun are those pretty printed bridesmaid dresses, adorable puppies with garlands and our groom’s cute boutonnière? It’s all about the floral details, spring hues and a whole lot of laid-back goodness. Jay Jay Lucas of Chestknots Studios made sure he drizzled this wedding with his usual spunky approach on capturing Carlo and Heidi’s big day moments.

If you’re a wedding junkie like me, then you probably know who Nelwin Uy is. Being one of the top photographers in the country, Nelwin’s work has graced Bride and Breakfast time and time again. I was definitely thrilled beyond my wits when he asked me to be a guest speaker to his upcoming XOXO Workshop. ACCCKK!!! I get to talk about B&B and blogging about gorgeous weddings. And guess what? It even falls right on my birthday weekend! Being so passionate about what I do, this is totally a fun way to celebrate for me (yes, I am nerdy like that)!

So here’s the thing, I know most of us have seen a million and one beach weddings in Boracay (perk of living in a country surrounded by world-class islands), but I think most of you will agree that it simply just doesn’t get old. The romance the sea washes to the shore is timeless. I mean, it’s so beautiful that it doesn’t only move the heart of the locals, but people from different continents as well. And the best part is that aside from the venue being spectacular, our homegrown wedding talents really do deliver with such creativity (hint, hint: photos, video, and bouquet = amazing)!
All the way from the land down under, we have Sam and Danike who hands down gets our vote to be our chic eye candy treat this scorching hot Monday morning. Who said we can’t enjoy the heat? Bring out the iced tea folks, it’s time for some seaside wedding goodness.
