This Couple Had Their Wedding on a Rare Date!

Since February 29 was added to the calendar this year, Lawrence and Kitti took the opportunity to schedule their wedding on this rare date. It only occurs once every four years, so it was a fitting way to symbolize how special and one-of-a-kind their love story truly is. Lawrence and Kitti put together a highly meaningful celebration by personalizing so many of the details like the invitations which were designed by the bride herself, the autumn motif which is reminiscent of the season when Lawrence proposed to Kitti in New Zealand, and the boho theme which shows-off their free spirited personalities. And guess what? Their wedding cake was designed and baked by Kitti’s 90-year old lola! Kitti shared that her lola used to own a bakery in Cebu and was the go-to wedding cake baker of her town back in the day. Lola Franz lovingly made all the sugar flowers by hand and baked all four tiers of the wedding cake herself. How amazing is that? I’m sure you’ll find more things to love about Lawrence and Kitti’s wedding when you scroll through this set from ProudRad. Go on!

This Couple Turned Their Destination Wedding Mood Board into Reality

While they reside 8,325 miles away from their chosen wedding destination, this San Francisco-based couple showed that distance is never a hindrance in turning your wedding mood board into a reality. Nestled in the haven of calm blue skies winging 360-panoramic ocean views, Alex and Teri tied the knot in one of the most luxurious resorts in Phuket, Thailand. The organic beauty of the location, styled with geometric profiles and white/green florae, presented a sophisticated, celestial rooftop ceremony. The blissful and energetic newlyweds were warmly welcomed with applause and lit sparklers as they shared a sweet kiss. Integrating nature in design and dangling it with twinkling fairy lights gave life to the reception hall while the family and friends dined, conversed, and danced to live jazz music. A fresh and dreamy photo corner decorated with a neon sign and frames set to allow guests to take their portraits. Alex and Terri had an undeniably spirited intimate destination wedding, and take a look at how Darinimages beautifully captured every detail of this divinely extravagant and romantic celebration.

A Wedding with Sunny Hues of Orange and Yellow

I hope the pops of orange, yellow, and pink in Louie and Erika’s wedding will give you some cheerful summer vibes today! Check out how these colors made each of the bridesmaids look radiant. I think these pastel shades of orange and yellow complemented their skin tones beautifully. Their dresses somehow remind me of sunflowers, too! These sunny hues are also beautiful accents to the warm wood interiors of Angelfield’s Nature Sanctuary. Orange and yellow certainly add a nice touch of brightness to the venue, don’t you think? For more inspiration, go on and scroll through this set from Shootme Photo. Enjoy!

This Bride Tells Us How She Managed Wedding Planning While On Medical Residency

The road to becoming a doctor is no easy feat, and we can only imagine how much more challenging it would be if you add planning a traditional Filipino wedding to the mix. Miguel and Natasha’s story was ten years in the making and the journey to their next chapter was one we can all learn from. From a honeymoon cut short to waiting a little longer to live together (as a frontliner, she was to test negative for the virus first before coming home to him), their story is a testament to the importance of priorities and surrounding yourself with people who support you. Take the bridal entourage as an example, which included resident doctors who were on duty the day before up to the morning of the wedding. We can definitely feel how much love they have for the couple as they rushed to the preparations venue without any sleep.

We figured you would want to know how they pulled this off so well, so we asked the bride to share her experience with us. Scroll down to view the photos by Ian Santillan and read the bride’s responses to some of our questions!

This Bride Tells Us How She Managed Wedding Planning While On Medical Residency

How was it balancing your residency and planning a wedding?

“Definitely very hard. I would have work almost everyday and 36 hour duty shifts every 3 days. Thankfully, I had an amazing partner who understood my schedule and who was very proactive with the planning of the wedding. We had to orient our coordinator and all our suppliers regarding my schedule. Most meetings would be at night or near the hospital, so it would be accessible for me.”
