A Love Greater Than the Rivalry: Green and Blue Team Up in This Modern Wedding

Sometimes you find love in places you least expect to, and then suddenly, the surprise changes your life forever. It was a similar story for today’s featured couple, Iñaki and Kara. The groom is known for his outgoing personality and his heart that bleeds green (A Lasallian), so it was a plot twist that he ended up with a bride who bled blue (An Atenean). Their story started when they met in college, and the relationship grew stronger as they got to know each other and made cherished memories together. Their wedding matched their modern romance as it was filled with fun and quirky details that prove you don’t always have to stick to the rules. You can check out the bride’s puff sleeved wedding dress by Teena Sabrina Tan, the groom’s accessories, the bridesmaids’ printed prep look, and the fishballs cart, just to name a few. Scroll through the photos from Ralph Lee Photography to see some how all these details tied up to this beautiful wedding!

This Couple Planned Their Two-Day Island Wedding by Themselves!

Today, we’re featuring a couple who planned their two-day island wedding celebration all by themselves. Yes, you read that right! Dij and Mon run a travel company and now that it’s their turn to plan their biggest adventure, they made sure that they went all out. They held their celebration in Dos Palmas, an island resort in Puerto Princesa, Palawan; and they opened it with a fun-filled sports fest and a cozy welcome boodle. The next day, they got married in a small island chapel in the morning and held another scenic ceremony at a tiny sand bar near the resort – a truly swoon-worthy moment! But our favourite thing about this wedding is the couple’s attention to details. As advocates of sustainability and loving local, they gave away sustainable welcome kits to their guests, gifted locally-sourced products to their entourage and sponsors; and used the resort’s in-house floras instead of sourcing imported ones. What makes it even better is the fact that their talented family and friends are the ones who pulled off their wedding needs – from cake to host and DJ to Bride Mon’s personalized veil made by her mom. This definitely made their special day more sentimental and close to the heart. Scroll down Atlas Studios’ brilliant shots to see the festivities yourself!
