Video: Zoren Legaspi and Carmina Villaroel’s Surprise Wedding

We featured Zoren Legaspi and Carmina Villaroel’s wedding a few days back. So today we thought of sharing the onsite video by Nice Print Photography because a surprise wedding is one of those once-in-a-blue-moon-type-of-things that deserve our attention, don’t you think?

Belle and Breakfast: Ellen

We’ve been seeing a lot of gorgeous debut shoots lately, and yes, we’re really loving them! Many of the concepts are so creative and beautiful that it made us think, “Hmmm… why not show them to the world?” So once in a while we will feature debut shoots (particularly those with a bit of a dreamy vibe) under the Belle and Breakfast category. They can even serve as concept inspirations for bridal portraits or engagement shoots–the young ladies definitely have some unique ideas up their sleeve!

For our regular readers, you have seen a fair share of Mark Cantalejo‘s wedding shoots in B&B. Today will be a bit different, but no less romantic. I am crazy in love with Ellen’s pre-debut shoot–the violin, the field, the dress, the horse… everything! It screams soft femininity and timeless beauty. This shoot certainly earned its place for being our first ever feature for Belle and Breakfast.

Celebrity Wedding: Zoren Legaspi and Carmina Villaroel

There will probably only be a few people in this world who can say they got married the same day as the proposal. It might not be your typical tale, but one thing is for sure, this is a story of romance and a celebration of love. Both popular celebrities in the Philippines, Zoren and Carmina’s wedding was definitely the talk of the town because it totally caught everyone by surprise (yes, especially the bride)! Zoren and Carmina have been planning their wedding for months now. Little did the bride know that her groom (and kids) were making other plans. Carmina thought that she was just going to shoot a commercial for an ice cream brand and was surprised with the grandest celebration she had always hoped for. Now if that isn’t romantic, I dunno what is! I was so thrilled when Charisse of Nice Print Photography excitedly told us she was going to share photos of the beautiful affair. This is a great way to start the week!

Fashion Friday: June Pugat Spring/Summer 2013

I have a confession to make… I have this silly love affair with watercolor design. I know, I know, it’s pretty obvious with how Bride and Breakfast is actually watercolor-inspired. Imagine my glee when I chanced upon this gorgeous collection by June Pugat! I’ve been dying to get a chance to feature more local designers in the blog and today is a pretty darn good day to do so. If you’re thinking about adding a touch of watercolor whimsy to your wedding day (I myself am dying to wear one of these), then this look is perfection!

June beautifully shares his take on this collection:

I used silk cocoon for all the gowns. The fabric was originally white but I hand-painted each piece to give them the color they have. I was inspired by my favorite poetry by Cummings, Neruda, Rilke, García Lorca, and some of the ones I’ve written myself. Before creating the designs, in my mind I had the idea of the poet’s ink spilling over the petals of some other worldly flowers.

Now it doesn’t get more romantic than that, does it?
