A Lifetime’s Adventure

Today’s feature is no ordinary wedding. It is beautiful with handmade details flown in from Russia, where the couple is from, and flush with graceful simplicity. Like most features of late, it is a beach wedding. But one vital element is starkly different from all other weddings we’ve seen–the guest list. Or in this case, the lack thereof!

I’ve always been infatuated with the idea of elopement. The thought of taking on the unknown with your one companion, your lifelong go-to person, has been both thrilling and romantic! Such was the wedding of Muslim and Ekaterina on the shores of Boracay. Surely our most prized seaside is an adventure right out of a tropical fairy tale to this couple native to Russia!

Jeff and Lisa of Jeff and Lisa Photography became privy to the couple’s special day, capturing moments from their wedding ceremony and their engagement session held a day prior. It is so refreshing to see just two people, content with each other’s company, being the other’s helping hand. Isn’t this a perfect picture of the days to come–a future being built and lived together? Needless to say I was moved to tears. I didn’t even need to hear the vows, the pictures said it all.

“Oh darling, let’s be adventurers.”

An Unbridled Love

Hello, lovelies! I’m sure you all remember the wedding reel of Coach Rio and Nicole which we featured a month back. It was all elegance, cute personal details, and an outpour of passion. Today we bring you Coach Rio and Nicole’s engagement shoot! Photographed by Pat Dy himself, we see the same kind of passion in a rendering that is raw and uninhibited. I thought the couple looked incredibly beautiful and sultry against nature’s gorgeous landscape! Celebrity stylist Sidney Yap did a wonderful job styling with the mix of sexy white basics and an edgy black number–I love how these went with the outdoor setting! The ensembles were totally unexpected yet complementing.

Why don’t we heat things up a little bit more this midweek? These photos are hot, hot, hot! Enjoy!

Beach, Blue, and Beautiful

One of the most beautiful things about a beach wedding is that you can really let your hair down and enjoy the carefree atmosphere of the festivities. Dennis and Polly’s wedding was such an affair–you can almost hear the laughter of the guests, the rushing of waves to the shore, and the happy beat of  the day’s soundtrack. Nelwin Uy did a wonderful job capturing the moments and elements of this happy affair.

I am blissfully captivated by the details of this wedding. All the white blooms were a breath of fresh air and I truly adored the elegant and sleek silhouette of the bridal gown–what a sexy number!

The temperatures are rising and steadily so. This is the kind of heat that’s good for some quality beach time and I’m determined to get it even if only by way of today’s post. Join me?

Tips and Trends: A Bridal Fair You Don’t Want To Miss

Good morning, lovelies! We’re starting off this week to very exciting news. Gather all your favorite elements of a wedding–a plush bouquet, charming table settings, elegant stationaries, exquisite bridal gowns, gorgeous shoes, and the list goes on! Bring all these together and what do we have? That’s right! A bridal fair! The Peninsula is bringing together top suppliers and designers for a grand affair on Saturday, April 13, 2013.

Weddings at The Peninsula 2013 will run from 10:00am to 7:00pm with exhibits and booths for everything from floral arrangements to rings and registries. Expect to see creations from The Peninsula Manila’s Creative Director Anna Faye Rosal in a floral showcase and sample bridal menus and dessert options prepared by Executive Chef Patrick Boucher and his team. And we have good news to all the grooms-to-be, too! While the ladies gush and get dreamy over the bridal gowns of our country’s top designers and the dazzling Bulgari Bridal Jewelry, they can sample cocktail concoctions from Moët & Chandon.

And ladies, make sure you stay for the fashion show commencing at 6:00pm at The Lobby and expect breathtaking pieces from Francis Libiran, JC Buendia, Ivar Aseron, Puey Quiñones, Rhett Eala, and more! Also watch out or the launch of The Peninsula Manila’s Luxe Wedding Package–it comes with only the most extravagant and luxurious treats which includes a five-course gourmet dinner, a glass of Dom Perignon for each guest, event styling, a Rolls-Royce limousine, a La Mer facial bridal spa party for the bride and nine guests, and my personal favorite, a pair of Christian Louboutin shoes! Whew!

All these and so many more await you; this is simply  an event you don’t want to miss! Whether you are planning a wedding for the coming year, or for 2014, or even just planning a wedding in your dreams, drop by and enjoy the delightful treats! There are many special prizes to be raffled off too and if you are the type of person who enjoys Afternoon Tea with three of your friends, or roundtrip tickets to Tokyo, then you do not want to be absent when they draw the raffle on April 13.

Note it down on your calendars, book it, confirm it, and maybe we will see you there!

Amazing Aristocratic Affair

Pinch me, I must be dreaming! When Oly of Metrophoto sent this our way, I almost fainted. Chris and Amanda’s wedding is all about whimsical elegance. A stately garden affair that seems to have been meticulously prepared for a prince and her princess, the details were all divine. I wasn’t surprised since the vendors behind this fairytale wedding are all so talented. Take for example that wedding gown! Veluz has once again shown such impeccable style and creativity. Then there’s the bouquet by Vatel Manila which was just breathtaking. And oh my, the cake done by Peachy Juban was just brilliant don’t you think? There’s just too many things we love about this affair! A regal and almost aristocratic ambiance sets the mood of inspiring romance. So come on board folks, kick back and enjoy the view.
