While most girls get their first glimpse of weddings in fairytales and movie scenes, Chrissie recalls hers as a simple ceremony in an episode of Maalaala Mo Kaya that she watched at seven years old. The onscreen bride and groom were facing countless struggles, but still chose to get married despite the unfavorable odds. Fast forward to Chrissie’s own wedding, Mark and Chrissie found themselves in a similar dilemma. Having already been engaged for over a year when restrictions were declared, the couple opted to push though with only eight guests present. They quickly realized that was all they needed and there are still many things to be thankful about. The Bride shares, “I like to believe that my wedding was beautiful not despite, but because we were few.”  These photos by The Paper Project are a testament that dreams do come true, and they can be even more beautiful than you imagined.
