A Blossoming Affair

I don’t care what they say, I stubbornly believe that every woman loves flowers. Whether receiving them, sniffing their alluring scent, or beholding their beauty, there is always appreciation for a fresh bloom.

Imagine my happiness when I scanned through the photos of Christopher and Emma’s engagement shoot. You guessed it! They had a floral theme–and a well-executed one at that! From the basket of flowers to the wreath of roses; and the flowery prints on the umbrella, blanket, and blouse, it was a tastefully arranged bouquet of floral elements.

A Gorgeous Garden Gala

We consider it such a joy to share the works of talented Filipino suppliers, whether based here in Manila or abroad. That said, we are very happy and honored that Pinoy photographers overseas also send some lovely wedding goodness our way!

Greeting us this Tuesday morning is a beautiful garden wedding from Orange County, photographed by Wai Reyes. It was fabulously tinted by a cocktail of bright colors in the entourage ensembles and the bouquets, rich greens complemented by varying shades of violet, magenta, and lilac. And what about that scrumptious plate of banana split in lieu of the traditional wedding cake? How delightfully cheeky and playful! Set in a sunshiny day in breathtaking Laguna Cliffs, it was indeed a joyous affair spiced up by the lively spirits of the couple and guests. It made me wish I were also there to enjoy the view and the festivities!

Let’s brighten up our day with a fresh gulp of berry hues and lush greens, shall we?

Sometimes I can’t believe that we actually get to partner with some of the most talented people in the wedding industry and become part of something totally beautiful. People who share the same passion for creativity, style and detail. People who make us see weddings in a whole new level.

A few days ago, we got to show you the lovely (and first-ever) Veluz RTW Bridal 2013 collection. Those dresses were drop-dead-breathtaking! And just when you think you’ve seen enough, we’d like to get the word out that another editorial for these gowns is coming up vveeerrryy soon here in Bride and Breakfast. With Jaja Samaniego behind the lens plus a bunch of ingenious folks that worked so hard to make this prettiness come to life, we just know it’ll leave you in awe! But for now a teaser will do.

A Sun-kissed Seaside Affair

Every once in a while I come across a wedding that is so beautiful it makes me tear up. Not out of sentimentality, nor out of fondness for the couple (being that I don’t usually know them personally), but simply out of sheer beauty. What can I say? My heart jumps at the sight of all things exquisite and aesthetically pleasing.

I had to catch my breath many, many times while poring over JR and Cecille’s photos. MangoRed did wonderfully catching the atmosphere of warm sunshine, light sea breeze, and sparkling wedding-day energy. I must say I have developed quite an attachment to the church where they held the ceremony–her with the high ceiling and white columns. A sight nothing short of majestic!

Now, I must get back to marveling at this spectacular Honolulu soiree. There’s a hypnotizing bouquet of fresh blooms waiting to be adored. Care to join me?

Alluring Sophisticaton

All you need to make a good engagement shoot is a game couple and an inspired perspective. Throw in a few statement pieces into that mix and you’re set! Jino and Leanne’s shoot is both fresh and sultry, understated yet elegant. A bold red number, a sexy lace dress, and great energy tie this shoot together in graceful sophistication. Oly Ruiz of Metrophoto did a wonderful job capturing the pretty details and sweet moments.
