8 Safety Protocols You Can Put in Place If You’re Planning a Wedding during a Pandemic

Now that we’re already accustomed to wearing facemasks and physical distancing, let’s talk about the less familiar safety measures. Couples who have decided to wed in a “socially distant” way need to be willing to adjust their expectations and plan for a a celebration that is feasible and appropriate given the current situation. To help them out, we compiled a list of practical and helpful controls that can be put in place in their weddings. We recommend first familiarizing yourself with the existing rules of the government and of your chosen venue before deciding on additional layers of safety to carry out. Although this may not look like the wedding you initially dreamed, you can rest well knowing you will still be marrying the man of your dreams. Make the most of planning your wedding, and enjoy the ride!

[Note: These are recommended safety protocols IN ADDITION to government rules and regulations on mass gatherings.]

This Couple Stayed Cool and Composed in their No-Reception Wedding!

Rap and Raizza’s wedding took almost two years in the making. But just like everyone else caught up in the pandemic, they had to rethink their plans. In order to honor their original wedding date, they pushed through with an intimate wedding ceremony without a reception. Two Years May Sound Like a Long Engagement, But This Couple Proves That It’s Worth the Wait!

Since Ralph and Mariko were both based abroad during their engagement, the couple opted for a longer engagement period so that they could have sufficient time for their wedding preparations. They envisioned minimalist styling, using only fresh greenery and white blooms, consistent in all the arrangements and the finer details. The natural beauty of the venue was highlighted as well as the true meaning behind the celebration. Ralph and Mariko did not skimp when it came to their wardrobe, as each donned a glamorous piece designed by Francis Libiran, the couple’s dream designer. Their entourage was also dressed to the nines in charming blue hues.

To couples who find themselves in a similar situation because of the pandemic, fret not because your special day will come and the wait is only going to make it even more meaningful. Scroll through the photos by Myio Okamoto and feel the overflowing cheer when their wedding day finally arrived!
