It’s a vintage romance kind of affair today. Jeb and Jojie’s Great Gatsby meets Downton Abbey wedding is just the right amount of glam you’ll need on this fine Monday morning. With beautiful muted colors and pearls woven in through every little detail, this wedding captured by Catilo Photography is something you don’t want to miss. See the full gallery here.
From the couple:
Our wedding last May 24, 2014, #JebJojieDay as we fondly call it, was a culmination of many answered prayers and dreams come true. Some of our most favorite parts of that day are the following:
As we were researching and preparing for our wedding, we stumbled upon an Irish tradition called the “ring warming”. On our wedding morning, in the midst of all the preparation chaos, our closest family and friends passed our rings among them and blessed it with their prayers.
Our first look was made more special because we didn’t just say hi to each other to kill our jitters, we were also the last two people to pray for our rings before the wedding ceremony.
Music brought us together and on our wedding day, beautiful music made us giddily swoon to the moon and back. The Manila Philharmonic Orchestra played enchanting music in the ceremony and reception. Ebe Dancel sang “Bawat Daan” for the bridal march; and Rico Blanco sang “Helpless” for our first dance. Talented friends from church and work also shared their beautiful voices. Finally, right before our first kiss as husband and wife, Jeb and I closed the wedding ceremony by singing “Something Good” from the Sound of Music.
We really enjoyed the wedding reception! Blue Leaf Filipinas was breathtakingly beautiful and K. by Cunanan served a delicious dinner. Our family and friends enjoyed eating, drinking, and dancing the night away in their 20s garb!
There are many other things that made that day magical, but above all, Jeb and I are just truly thankful to find each other. Our wedding was simply a celebration of God’s love that has brought us together, and we hope our marriage would continue testifying that same blessed love.
