How long have you been dreaming about your wedding? I have to say that I’ve been dreaming about mine since I was maybe six years old? At that time I remember grabbing some of my mom’s flowers, putting a blanket on my head as a veil and pretending to walk down the aisle. I’m pretty sure you all have dreamed about your wedding at one point or another. Am I right? You don’t have to have every little detail figured out (calm down!), but it’ll be helpful if you could mention a couple of details that you really want to see in your wedding. Do you want a particular venue? A specific fabric for your dress? Let your suppliers know. You’ll be surprised how little things help shape your wedding.
In the same way that you mentioned what you like, it’ll also be helpful if you mentioned what you don’t like. Don’t like roses? Or lots of greens? If you don’t know what you don’t want, most suppliers will ask you questions that will help you discover what these things are. (It can also help you save a lot of time too!)
Don’t forget that your suppliers are the experts, and they’re to share their expertise with you. A florist knows about the types of flowers in season, and a dress designer knows what silhouette goes with which body type. Be open to other ideas, and listen to their suggestions–they can actually help beautify your wedding!
You can actually compare your suppliers to fairy godmothers and godfathers. They’re there to help you make your wedding look amazing. With both of you working together, you’ll definitely have the perfect wedding you’ve always dreamed of.
