Couples Are Personalizing Their Weddings With These Head-Turning Details

Turning your wedding into a magical experience requires a bit of collaboration. Josiah’s Catering has been helping couples craft awe-inspiring wedding details full of charm, and personality – from centerpieces to charger plates. And it’s these special touches plus extra thoughtfulness that make your wedding that much more personal and extraordinary.

Matching Florals with the Bridesmaid Dresses
Boho and rustic always complement one another so well. In this wedding, warmer tones are also present for an autumnal feel. But here’s the most clever idea! The Bride requested for her floral centerpieces to match her bridesmaids’ dresses, creating a whimsical illusion, “It created the beautiful effect of my bridesmaids’ appearing like flowers themselves throughout the reception!”

The matching color palette became even more cohesive and tied the whole Boho-Rustic aesthetic of this wedding together. “The way the details were combined made the whole look more seamless and well-executed!”

Josiah’s Catering also provided the couples with a mock-up so they get to see the actual table styling in-person and customize the details as they envision.

“The charger plates were clearly boho, the candles added that rustic touch, and the flowers were coordinated perfectly to match the color palette of my bridesmaids. My whole vision was fulfilled because of the amazing work by the Josiah’s Catering team.”

Capiz Lanterns as Backdrops and Tablescape Details
In this modern filipiniana wedding, Capiz lanterns not only lit up the tablescape but brought the whole atmosphere to life, too. “We wanted our wedding to have an elegant and timeless experience. We selected a minimalist color palette. The men were strictly required to wear Barongs, while the women were asked to wear formal dresses in earthy colors.”

Everything, down to the most minute detail, was planned and carefully selected to express the couple’s personalities.

“We had so much in mind because we saw a lot of Inspo online. There were times we weren’t on the same page as a couple but the Josiah’s team were able to find common ground. We were really happy with their suggestions and initiative.”

Capiz lamps, lanterns as backdrops, and Capiz charger plates were some of the finer details that evoked the romantic feel of this wedding. It was exactly the approach the couple wanted to take, a mood of sophistication present in every element.

Wire Flowers Made by Hand
The theme of this wedding is pretty out-of-the-box, “Nurture.” An intangible concept made more apparent through handcrafted elements. The couple wanted their wedding to truly feel like a gathering, a celebration of love where guests bonded over the details and the food. “We also wanted the overall feel to be humble, highlighting the aspect of nature,” says the Bride and Groom.

“We wanted flowers made out of black wires. We already thought of DIY-ing them ourselves, but Josiah’s Catering gladly accepted the challenge. They were so patient. They kept revising until we were happy with the output.”

The overall tablescape arrangement is intentionally soft and delicate to complement the wooden interiors of the venue.

“We softened the overall tablescape arrangement through the use of linens that fit the color palette along with adding dried gypsophilia. Incorporating wire flowers was such a unique touch that brought the personality of the couple,” says the Josiah’s team.

Collaboration and Dedication
The key detail to any remarkable wedding aesthetic is in the collaboration. When you know your ideas are being heard, and the execution turns out better than you imagined it to be, you’re in the right hands.

For Josiah’s Catering, the biggest factor to consider is your mood board. “This is the main design direction we use, from the overarching theme up to the smaller elements,” says Josiah Versoza, Josiah’s Catering Chief Creative Officer.

“Of course our goal is not to make an exact copy of their selected designs, but to use these as the main inspiration for the styling approach we will do for them. We also make it a point to highlight small details that make the design truly personal for them.”

The Josiah’s team also sets up a mock-up day session for each couple. This is where the bride and groom have the chance to see the styling and tablescape go from mood board to real life. “We guide the client through a point by point discussion while going over the whole arrangement itself, highlighting all key details for their tablescape design,” Josiah explains. “We highly encourage the couples to be as vocal and as specific as they want during the session so that our team can apply these details on the spot.”

Your personality, interests, and vision lead to outstanding wedding elements. These very details are what evoke the kind of vibe, aesthetic, and emotion you want your special day to evoke. Details make your celebration extra special, especially when they matter to you!
