This Couple Added a Twist to the Vintage Filipino Wedding Fashion

When you look at old Filipino photographs, you’ll see women wear an elegant Baro’t Saya while men donned a traditional Barong Tagalog. Karl and Anj wanted to bring the same chic fashion to their wedding but with a modern twist. While the bride’s dress was inspired by the Maria Clara ensemble, the gathered fabric that accentuated her hips gave her dress a modern style. The groom’s suit, in the other hand, is a mix of the modern day suit and the formal Barong Tagalog. Scroll through the photos by Bryan Venancio Photography and see how else this couple brought back the 50s vibe through their wedding theme.
