After two delayed weddings, Sunnies Face Co-Founder Jess Wilson finally got to tie the knot with Moritz Gastl over the weekend—in a very fashionable way, of course. Jess donned a gorgeous custom terno designed by Vania Romoff and we can’t get enough of it! The cut, the fabric, and the convertible style—oh, every bride should be taking down notes!
We asked Vania to tell us more about the dress and what she thinks about the intimate wedding dress trend. Read about it below.
“After exploring and going over different ideas for her gown, Jess ultimately decided on a Filipiniana dress. Truthfully, working with Jess was such a breeze. She knew what she wanted—a Filipiniana dress with two looks; one for the ceremony and one for the after party. (She wanted) a mini dress that she could dance around in.”
“The best part about working with Jess is that she left the rest to me and I really appreciate when a bride trusts me and my team enough to translate their vision.”

“For fabrics, I used four different laces from our lace collection. These were laces I’ve collected through the years. I went through them to see which ones would work best for the vintage look I had in mind.”

“I always have so much fun creating wedding dresses for more intimate ceremonies. Brides tend to go for something more fun and I feel their personalities reflect the designs they choose. I’m all for traditional wedding gowns but civil ceremonies or smaller weddings allow brides to explore a different approach to their dream dress.”

Stay tuned for more about this beautiful wedding in the next days!
