It’s a fact that weddings have changed. There are new protocols in place and a list of guidelines released that’s as long as your wedding planning list! But if there’s one thing that hasn’t changed, it’s the love of Filipinos for beautiful weddings. No matter how small and intimate the celebrations have become, couples still make an effort to make it not only meaningful, but also memorable aesthetically. Here are three couples who pushed through with their weddings, though more intimate than planned, and proved that it can still be beautifully done.
John and Beng originally planned a beach wedding with 100 guests. They envisioned everyone to be in an all-white outfit, all looking gorgeous against the horizon. But because of the pandemic, they opted to have a simple wedding instead with only their immediate family as guests. With a very simple setup that the couple did themselves, their wedding still stood out because it reflected their personalities. Check out these photos from Digital Juan Multimedia Production.
Luigi and Vanessa originally planned to have a Church wedding but because of the quarantine, they decided to do an intimate civil wedding ceremony at home instead. It was important for them to still make their wedding beautiful so they hired a set of wedding suppliers to make it happen. Getting Married Wedding Coordinators arranged a schedule for all the suppliers to follow to ensure that all guidelines are met for the safety of everyone. Teddy Manuel styled the venue a day before the wedding. The HMUA team arrived early in the morning of the wedding day, but unfortunately they had to leave immediately so that the team of Pat Dy Photography and Mayad Studios could enter the house and capture the unforgettable moments of the day.
“We didn’t know what to expect on this day, because unlike other weddings that start preparations in hotel rooms, shoot in different locations, marry in churches, and celebrate receptions in ballrooms, we did all these under our own roof. It was very tiring but fulfilling at the same time. Everything turned out amazing! And we thank our suppliers, friends and most especially our family for their love and support, because they made this day perfect!” -Luigi Rubiano, Groom
Jan and Marielle decided to push through with their wedding right after GCQ because for them, it’s the blessing that matters. With only their immediate family and selected ninongs and ninangs present during their intimate Church wedding, the day was still very much special to them. The couple contacted Oak St. Studios two weeks before their wedding day to ask if they were willing to be their photography team. Without hesitation, the team said yes and we are glad they did!
