This Couple Threw an Epic Wedding Weekend to Remember!

Basi and Nikki love attending music festivals together–the lights, the music, the non-stop dancing, and the fun vibe–-and they wanted their Bohol beach wedding celebration to be a similar experience for all of their guests. Knowing that they would invite over 800 people to their celebration, they opted to have a destination wedding weekend getaway instead so that they would have more time to mingle with their guests and spend more quality time with family and friends. It was four days of good food, unforgettable conversations, amazing setup, crazy dancing, and an overflow of love and fun for the couple. Looking at the photos of Rainbowfish Photography, everyone looked like they had the most awesome time! I can’t even start describing how remarkable this wedding is, so go ahead and scroll through this set!

About Their Long Distance Relationship: “Everyone always asked us if our relationship was hard because of the distance, but the way we would describe our relationship is the exact opposite: easy, light, and fun.” -Nikki, Bride

About the Theme: “Both Basi and I love music festivals so we wanted to bring that immersive experience to our guests by creating an atmosphere where they could really dance all night long.” -Nikki, Bride

About the theme quote: “I was inspired by Australian and Mexican beach weddings, and I knew I wanted it to be dreamy and romantic, just like my wedding dress designed by the young Israeli designer Liz Martinez.

I knew that the only person I could trust to deliver my vision and even exceed expectations was Gideon Hermosa, whose incredible work we were able to witness in person when he styled my brother’s wedding in Rome, Italy in June 2018.”

About the Color Scheme: “It was based on earth tones and the colors of the sun, with the female entourage dressed in stunning gold silk and with guests dressed in varying shades of the sunset.” -Nikki, Bride

On making it more personal: We thought of incorporating our love for standup comedy and making the wedding more personal by casually hosting the wedding program reception ourselves.

On Wedding Planning: “Wedding planning can be tough but it’s important to take a step back and remember what it’s all really about—you and your partner!” -Nikki, Bride
