5 Ways You Can Incorporate Pantone Color of The Year 2018 Ultra Violet in Your Upcoming Wedding This Year

Pantone released the Color of the Year for 2018 last month, and it’s called Ultra Violet! When I first laid eyes on the shade, I saw a lot of potential. It reminded me of outer space, crystals, and geodes–which made this post extra exciting for me to write! So today, we wanted to show you a few ways to incorporate this stunning color into your wedding. Having second thoughts? Allow us to change your mind!

1. Experiment with your color palette

We released some color schemes that go well with purple, and you can totally use that as a basis for this post too! Remember that adding Ultra Violet in your wedding doesn’t mean that it has to dominate the look of your big day–not unless you want it to!

2. Capitalize on the sparkle with these place cards

I just love the look of the calligraphed place cards on geodes, don’t you? It looks so classy! These beauties will definitely add character to your table setting, and elevate the overall look of your wedding reception.

3. Go for a geode-inspired invitation

This creative invitation design is just swoon-worthy! I love the ruggedness and earthy vibe it brings, and it complements the place cards in #2 as well.

4. Create a beautiful look with alternating bridesmaids gowns

A lot of bridesmaids don’t wear the same exact dress style or shade nowadays, and this is one pretty way to showcase that. Give your girls varying shades of purple from lilac to ultra violet, and you’ll have yourself a feast for the eyes.

5. Have a simple bouquet that stands out

Since the color is very commanding and bright, you don’t have to put it everywhere for it to be noticeable. Take this simple bouquet, for example! It may be a small arrangement that you can give your bridesmaids if you don’t want them to wear purple gowns, or it could be something you can walk down the aisle with as well.

So there you have it, brides-to-be! Do you have any thoughts on the 2018 Pantone Color of the Year? Any particular styles you want to try out? Let us know in the comments below!
