Wedding Stationery Timeline

Just got engaged and are clueless about when to start looking for invites and sending save the dates? Don’t worry, we’ve got you covered. Check out our wedding stationery timeline below. Brides-to-be, better start getting out your planners and marking dates! (Warning: This is not a sprint, it’s a marathon.)

 

9-12 months - Engagement Party Invites Of course you're going to be celebrating! Invite your friends to your party with engagement party invites. 6-8 months - Save the Date Cards You've chosen a venue and set a date. Now let everyone know when and where your special day will be held. 6-8 weeks - Wedding Invites This is the main event. Even though everything else might be optional, sending your wedding invites is a must. 4-8 weeks - On-the-Day Stationery If you're planning on using a lot of stationery for your wedding (e.g. decor, name plates, menus, etc.), it's good to order it ahead of time. 4-6 weeks - Rehearsal Dinner Invites Your wedding is just a few weeks away and everything should be perfect. Send out rehearsal dinner invites for your last powwow with your family and entourage. THE BIG DAY This is it! The day you've been dreaming and planning for! You shouldn't even be thinking about anything other than you, your future husband, and your "I Dos." 3 months after - Wedding Thank You Cards Even after the wedding buzz, you've still got to thank all your guests for attending, not to mention the gifts they gave you too. The Christmas after your wedding - 1st Christmas Greeting Card It's your first Christmas together--and you want to tell the whole world! There's no better way than through your first Christmas greeting card.
