Behind the Scenes: Rima Ostwani Bridal Cover Shoot

We met with Teddy Manuel a few days before the shoot for an ocular around Shangri-La at the Fort. The hotel’s interiors and furniture are very sophisticated and elegant, so almost every corner became an option for a shoot location. Good thing we had Teddy with us who was able to visualize our set. On the day of the shoot, I came in at 7:30AM and found him already midway through his preparations for the layouts. We narrowed it down to four layouts and he was able to set them quickly and beautifully–they were perfect for Rima and the lineup of gowns we had.

Speaking of gowns, that was another problem–we loved ALL OF THEM! We showed our stylist Rachel Felicia the moodboard, and she was able to put together a very good lineup (with custom made ones just for the shoot!) from talented designers. After our makeup artist Lindsay Co-Alog did her magic, and Denovo Diamonds jewelry were placed on Rima, boy, we were all starstruck. Rima, in her beauty and elegance, looked like the princess Barbie doll that I used to have. She was absolutely stunning in any dress she put on, and in any makeup look that was applied to her. Working with Rima was also a breeze because she was an absolute darling to everyone on set and kept her energy going throughout the shoot (even if she was so tired from posing, walking in heels, and carrying around her dress)! She was so patient and calm, even in the midst of all the work she has to do (she has a day job, girls) and preps she had to finalize for her upcoming wedding.

Of course, none of this would have been possible without our photographer, Pat Dy, and videographer, Project Mayo 7. Needless to say, the photos for our first ever cover shoot came out exactly how we envisioned them (and more), and the videos perfectly captured every detail artistically. Thanks to Shangri-La for being so widely accommodating of our requests, providing us delicious food, and for simply being such a beautiful location to shoot in. Thank you also to Cakeshop by Sonja for whipping up a beautiful and sophisticated cake. We are truly blessed to have been able to work with everyone on this!

We hope you enjoy taking a peek at how our day went, and listening to some insights from our talented suppliers!
