Ever tried imagining a wedding with a Pokémon theme? Today you’ll actually get to see how it might look like! It’s fun, it’s brilliant, and it’s yellow! What more can you ask for? We’re picka-choosing this as our crazy inspiration for the day. Enjoy!
About this Wedding:
The Pokemon wedding was conceptualized by Bride and Breakfast, a wedding inspiration and resource website. We partnered with Gideon Hermosa, one of the most brilliant event stylists in the Philippines, who turned our vision into reality. We were all swooning over his interpretation of our copper, white, gray, and yellow color palette! The ceremony area was breathtaking, and the reception table was pure genius! So many elements were really all about fun!
Invitations: The invitations and other paper details were done in copper foil by Printsonalities. while Bride and Breakfast did the invitation design. Might I just say that copper foil is one of our favorite trends for this year!
Attire and Accessories: We also couldn’t get enough of the wardrobe! First off, we LOVED the bride and groom GOTCHA jackets by Joe San Antonio–embroidered jackets are so chic! June Pugat‘s hand-painted gown was also such a statement piece. It was our cute, fun way to inject some Pokémon into our bride’s gown. Julianne Syjuco‘s ruffled gown gave our bride a light, carefree look to match the fun theme. And our low back gown by Ryan Madamba and mid-length dress from Elizabeth Hallie Vy were the perfect dresses for that modern touch and playful bridal look. Thanks to Sidney Yap for helping us with the styling!
Of course, another favorite detail were the Sorelle Accessories! Our customized Pokéball for the bride’s bouquet was perfect to catch the Dragonite at the end of the aisle! J’s Diamond also had unique pieces with geometric details that fit right in our one-of-a-kind editorial.
Hair and Makeup: Our bride and groom switched up their hair looks for this editorial. The bride, with short hair, wore soft curls for a fresher, playful, yet elegant take on a fun bride. Our groom, on the other hand, sported his man bun for a more artistic look. Thanks to Carlo Umipig for getting the hairstyles spot on! Ria Aquino also did the perfect makeup look for the bride. She experimented with different lip colors–some nude and others bold–that complemented our bride’s wardrobe and the copper setup.
Venue: Whitespace was simply perfect for this theme. The white and modern architecture definitely made the yellow and copper tones pop out.
Giveaways: Anyone else going crazy over the Pokémon candies? We are! We got a taste of the Pokéball, Balbusaur, Pikachu, Squirtle, and Charmander candies, and they really got us extra hyper and excited while prepping for the shoot. We got them customized in Made in Candy and they were the exact giveaways we wanted for the editorial!
Cake: How cool is that cake by Cottontail Studios! Any Pokémon trainer wouldn’t mind eating this piece of art.
Photography and Videography: Thanks to The Gallery for capturing our version of crazy. Don’t forget to watch the super cute video done by The Spark Series too!
