To celebrate Nice Print Photo’s incredible twentieth anniversary, we challenged Chief Executive Officer Charisse Tinio to name some of the most remarkable and memorable weddings they have captured these past 20 years. It’s no surprise that Charisse could recall all these special memories by heart and easily tell us the story of what makes each one unforgettable up to now.
Nice Print Photo has been trusted over and over again because of their excellent output, genuine service, creativity, and ability to listen to what YOU want. “We innovate. We pivot and offer something new. You really have to adapt to the changes and to what the market needs currently. That’s what we keep doing. That’s the secret of longevity. You don’t stay stagnant,” says Charisse.
And now here are the twenty most iconic and unforgettable weddings Nice Print Photo has captured:
Four years into the business, the Nice Print Photo team was graced with their very first celebrity wedding, none other than OPM icons Ogie Alcasid and Regine Velasquez. “They gave us full trust and support. To this day, I’m very grateful for that opportunity that opened so many doors for us. It was 15 years ago, but it will always hold a special place in my heart.” says Charisse.
“It was spectacular! 1500 guests at the MOA arena. It was so grand,” says Charisse. Royal and grand are the best ways to describe the DongYan wedding. Marian in her ballgown looking like a queen, and Ding Dong appearing every bit as the dashing king. Iconic indeed!
“If Ding Dong and Marian’s wedding was iconic, this was epic,” Char tells us. It was a surprise proposal AND wedding at the same time.”I can’t even imagine how we managed to pull-off a completely surprise wedding for the bride!” says Charisse.
“This was the very first wedding we captured during a commercial flight, while on air, from Manila to Boracay,” says Charisse. How incredible is this? To wed aboard a plane while flying to a beach paradise!
This wedding was all about beauty and opulence, such a significant way to celebrate a meant-to-be kind of love. “It was held in a new wedding venue set up just for them, Crystal Palace in the Sky in Tagaytay,” says Charisse.
I think we can all remember Moritz Gastl and Jess Wilson’s breathtaking wedding in Salzburg, Austria. It was a springtime wedding with a Cathedral ceremony and a reception held at the filming location of the Julie Andrews’ led movie, Sound of Music.
“It was a marriage of two beautiful families. The wedding had a tropical filipiniana theme. Everything was just on point from the personalized items to the sari-sari store where guests can get their souvenirs,” says Charisse.
Celebrating love pushed through even during the pandemic for Neil Arce and Angel Locsin. They were able to have a cozy and heartfelt civil wedding with a reception in the backyard of their very own home.
“This is a full-circle moment. We did the wedding of Ogie Alcasid 15 years ago. Now, here we are, we captured the wedding of his daughter. To be trusted over and over again through generations is something really beautiful,” Charisse says.
“Imagine getting married right on the runway. Your wedding reception right there with the plane as your backdrop under the stars. It was an amazing Amanpulo wedding,” says Charisse. We couldn’t agree more. This feels like a scene straight out of a film!
John Prats and Isabel Oli’s four seasons-themed wedding is another memorable one, and it was a first for Charisse and her team to witness this kind of vibe and aesthetic. “The Church wedding had a winter theme, the luncheon had a summer theme. The afternoon Christian ceremony was a springtime theme, while the reception dinner had an autumn feel,” Charisse describes.
Set in the scenic Alphaland lodges in Baguio where a basketball gym was transformed into a venue so grand and polished by Gideon Hermosa, “You wouldn’t think it was a gymnasium!” says Charisse.
“They had two weddings: One in Cebu and one in Ilocos. The Cebu wedding was very intimate and dreamy with a garden setup. The Ilocos wedding was so festive. It had everything you’d expect from a traditional wedding like the money dance and the bringing of the Sto. Niño during the Bride’s walk,” says Charisse.
“Modern Filipiniana at its best,” is how Charisse describes David Rainey and Glaiza De Castro’s wedding. It was held in Sundowners, Zambales. Every detail was just so fitting for a modern filipiniana wedding at the beach.
“Aika Robredo’s gown by Jo Rubio was wonderful. It was upcycled from parts of the barong of her late father, Secretary Jesse Robredo. Such a brilliant idea,” says Charisse. The day was subtle and filled with so much love amidst a beautiful setup.
Who could ever forget this stunning Christmas-themed wedding? Morgan Say and Janeena Chan’s wedding is probably every bride’s mood board now. “From the time you entered the venue, it smelled like Christmas. Everything was full of Christmas cheer and very happy,” says Charisse.
Yan Asuncion and Yeng Constantino’s renewal of vows gives a feeling of nostalgia and romance. “Gideon did the heart-shaped aisle again from their wedding. The drone shots and photos were just amazing,” Charisse recalls.
“This wedding will always be unforgettable, because people would think it’s a renewal of vows. Actually, no. It was their first wedding. It’s just love through and through,” says Charisse. Truly, this is a celebration the Nice Print Photo team looks back on so fondly.
With just a handful of friends and family in attendance, this wedding in Tuscany became a charming, joyful, and heartwarming celebration. “Everything was well taken care of. Every detail was beautiful,” says Charisse.
“This is unforgettable and iconic because the wedding was held onboard a navy ship. Rocco was a reserve in the navy,” says Charisse. An intimate wedding on a navy ship is definitely one for the books!
#ItsGivingNP20: Nice Print Photo Gives Back
Now twenty years into the business with numerous milestones, and achievements glittering their portfolio, what’s next? For Charisse, it’s time to give back.
“When a company reaches this long, there’s just so much gratitude in your heart. The focus now is to give. That’s why our hashtag is #ItsGivingNP20,” Charisse tells us.
Nice Print Photo has launched their scholarship program where 20 aspiring photographers are granted full scholarships for photography and videography courses. “We’re also giving them a full camera kit, so they can start building their careers,” says Charisse. “We’re also launching the Nice Print 20th anniversary book which is a collection of all these memories, all these highlights for the past 20 years.”
Another project in the pipeline is a package targeted for this generation of soon-to-wed couples, Gen Z’s and Millennials. “The inclusions consist of what they really want. It won’t have a full edited video because it’s something they don’t need. It’s going to have a lot of reels instead for social media posting, NP Retro which is an old school retro video, and film photography.”
There are so many exciting new plans, projects, and ideas Nice Print has in store. But what remains constant is their commitment to serve you with thoughtfulness, care, and excellence for another 20 years (and more) to come.
