Special Delivery: This Bride Shares How She and Her Grab Rider Groom Fulfilled Their Dream Wedding!

Eldridge and Richelle’s story will inspire you to believe the power of love and kindness. Engaged since 2015, this couple was saving up for a wedding but with a child to prioritize, their funds were directed towards caring for him instead. Fast forward to 2020, just when they were getting all of their wedding requirements in order, the lockdown happened. They had to use up much of their wedding savings for their day-to-day expenses. Eldridge, the groom, is a Grab delivery rider. He couldn’t make deliveries because of the strict quarantine measures then but once the regulations eased, the groom was back to work and their wedding planning resumed.

As they were about to settle for a much simpler celebration with fewer guests and thrifted clothes for their attire, they received the most unexpected surprise that led to a wedding beyond their wildest dreams.

“One day, gamit ko yung phone ni Edis then may lumabas na notification sa phone nya, “(Name) wants to connect with you”. So sinabi ko sa kanya na may nagmessage nga. Nagulat siya sabi niya napili yata yung comment ko kay Grab.” – Richelle, Bride

“Ako naman poker face lang kasi hindi ko alam anong sinasabi nya. Pinakita nya sakin yung post question ni Grab: Anu-ano yung mga occasions na hindi natuloy dahil sa pandemic na gusto mong matuloy ngayon?” – Richelle, Bride

“Sinabi niya lang na sana nga matuloy na yung kasal namin this coming September 10, ganon lang. Sa dami ng ibang comments at ang hahaba pa, hindi kami nag-expect na comment niya yung mapipili or mananalo!” – Richelle, Bride

“Lagi ko ngang sinasabi at ipinagmamalaki kahit kanino na yung pagiging Grab rider ng asawa ko saludo talaga ako. Ultimo gastusin sa panganganak ko, pagpundar ng mga gamit kagaya ng hulugang motor (na ngayon tapos na hulugan), hanggang sa gastusin sa anak namin, never nagkulang dahil sa pagtatrabaho niya.” – Richelle, Bride

“Favorite rin namin mag-asawa yung kasama namin sa photoshoot yung anak namin. Siya rin yung ring bearer and blessing talaga na maikakasal pala kami ng ganoong kabongga. Bonus pa na kasama namin yung anak naming si Zane kahit pandemic.” – Richelle, Bride

“Alam namin na hanggang sa pagtanda, isa ito sa mga babalik-balikan naming istorya. Ito yung ikukwento namin nang paulit-ulit sa mga magiging apo namin.” Richelle, Bride
