When planning a wedding, couples are often asked what element they can’t do away with. Some may answer a certain wedding supplier or a specific dream wedding dress. But for today’s couple, it was very important for them to have their dogs by their side. They even decided to plan their wedding day earlier just to make sure that their beloved toy poodle, Derby, who was terribly sick then, would still be around to witness their special milestone. They looked for a venue that is pet-friendly and thankfully they found one that matched their aesthetic, too. Unfortunately, Derby didn’t make it to the wedding day but Ken and Ji made sure that he was still remembered.
“We wanted a simple garden ceremony with only our vows in the presence of our most important people. We opted to keep the reception intimate, skipping the usual program of games etc. and just enjoyed the company of our guests. We brought Derpy’s ashes with us and didn’t let her go throughout the day.” -Ji, Bride
