Lenin and Patricia wanted their wedding day to be even more unique than the typical multicultural weddings. They envisioned an experiential event, where guests could experience the different activities that they loved doing together as a couple. From sharing delicious food, to learning new things, and listening to live music, the couple packed a great deal of customs and traditions into their charming wedding venue Sobremesa—which refers to the concept of loved ones gathering over a meal and conversing without rush or obligation.
For the reception, the couple served an authentic and flavorful menu of Mexican cuisine, which was printed on menu cards designed by the bride and hand-cut by her sorority sisters as a nod to their tradition from medical school. The guests were also treated to a customary Mezcal, a lesser known Mexican alcoholic beverage, and luxurious chocolate tasting to cap off the evening. Ready to go on a quick trip to Mexico? Enjoy a dose of rich culture and a love story that conquered long-distance as you scroll through this set by Photoflexas and Mariana Amezcua.
