We wanted to do things a bit differently for this season’s Toast Wedding Fair photoshoot. Normally, we’d start with a theme and do our research about all the details and elements we want the shoot to have. But we decided to have a change of pace this time around by keeping things subtler with just a few special touches.
We want to keep the ideas fresh and exciting to spark your creativity and help plan your wedding in style. So, together with some of the most talented suppliers in the industry, here are details we incorporated to bring this chic, stylish, and graceful photoshoot to life.
We hope these details will inspire you to get even more imaginative with your own wedding!

We sought the expertise of Gerry Rosales, the owner of The Paperblooms, to add a very interesting element for this photoshoot: Paper flowers. It’s incredible to see how The Paperblooms can replicate the look of actual flowers using materials like crepe paper. “We identify the flowers. We do our research, we find the measurements and details,” says Gerry about the process.

There are a couple of perks you might enjoy when it comes to paper flowers. According to Gerry, one of the advantages of paper flowers is that you don’t have to wait for a particular season. “Fresh cut flowers, when they’re not in season, the prices might be higher. Paper flowers, on the other hand, you can have any kind of flower in any season,” says Gerry. With paper flowers, the colors can also be tailored to your liking. If you want rainbow-colored roses or pink calla lilies, you got it!

Another thing we appreciate about paper flowers is that these can be great keepsakes that won’t wilt! You wouldn’t have to worry about the flowers drying out. The Paperblooms also strives to create flowers that look realistic! “We want to maintain the natural look of our flowers, natural length, and natural size,” Gerry shares.

Can you even tell the difference between fresh cut and paper flowers from these photos? It honestly looks like magic!

Whenever we plan the Toast Wedding Fair photoshoot, we would also be particular about table styling elements and backdrops. This time we took away all the trappings. We focused mainly on the couple and the few special touches we added.

What matters most on your wedding day is the two of you, and the love that you share. The decorations will be taken down after a few hours, the music will fade away, the guests will go home. But it’s the two of you who will be sharing a new chapter in your story together.

So, for this photoshoot, we wanted to tell a story that puts the spotlight on the bride and groom. You’re the main characters in the wedding after all!

One last unique detail this photoshoot has is dancing! Byron and Shayna happen to be professional dancers and choreographers. They also own a dance studio called Nude Floor which holds various classes for beginners and advanced students alike. They also choreograph first dances for weddings!

Byron and Shayna were able to grace us with a beautiful dance combination, which is also they’re actual first dance at their own wedding. There’s just something so enchanting about expressing your love through movement. It’s amazing to see this couple showing their love for one another through an art form they are passionate about.

Even if you think you have two left feet, all that matters is making one another feel the love. But if you’re also dreaming of a romantic first dance, then we encourage you to work with Nude Floor!

What planning a wedding in style really means for us is that you get to create the kind of celebration that makes you happy, the kind of celebration that allows you to be as imaginative, resourceful, and artistic as you want, the kind of celebration that shows off your personality, and most importantly, how special your love story is.
