Minimalism in Black and White: This Bride Brings Her Dream Wedding Motif to Life!

Believe me when I say that the black and white motif has been on the rise for the past couple of years, catching the interest of couples who want to bring a modern and unconventional twist to their big day. And for Bride Abby, having her wedding come to life in black and white is nothing less than a dream come true. “I loved seeing my guests and entourage in all-black and white. The sight brings me joy!” she says with a beaming smile. Her entourage dons matching white dresses with slim black belts as accents. The bride herself wears a gown embodying minimalism with beautifully structured puff sleeves and a sweeping a-line skirt, highlighting how radiant she naturally is! You’ll notice the black and white motif consistently throughout the finer details, too, like the centerpieces, floral arrangements, the invitation suite, and even the bridal car dressed up in black and white bows.

We won’t just leave you here with aesthetic inspiration though. There are a couple more thoughtful touches from Allen and Abby’s wedding that are worth sharing!

Allen and Abby

The entire year leading up to the wedding day, Bride Abby worked on a project of creating personalized portraits for each of her 180 wedding guests by hand! It is truly a labor of love, but the reactions of friends and family upon seeing the portraits on their tables make all the late nights worth it. Another fun idea from Abby is wearing trousers and a jacket for the preparations photoshoot instead of a robe or dressing gown. It’s a chic and sophisticated look, and more importantly, it’s something the bride feels beautiful and comfortable in! Last but not least, one of the most heartwarming moments of this wedding is how Groom Allen honors his late mother by walking down the aisle with a framed photo of her in his hands.

This wedding may be full of picturesque and modern details, but what makes it genuinely remarkable is none other than the love of every friend and family member who are witnesses to the couple’s journey (and performers in a choreographed number with the bride despite not knowing how to dance!), the love and effort of every relative and supplier in making this black and white wedding dream a reality, and most importantly, the love that led Allen and Abby to this special day.
