“Are we going to be happy with this?” Dennison and Lara chose to constantly ask themselves this one important question over the course of their wedding planning journey. It really is easy to fall into a cycle of worrying about which details are pleasing to the eyes of other people, and what looks impressive on Instagram. There’s nothing wrong with desiring a beautiful wedding, but like what Dennison and Lara learned, it’s also important to prioritize the things that genuinely make you happy. “We enjoyed the day without worrying about what it would look like on social media. We also asked our guests not to use their phones during the ceremony, so it was extra intimate,” Dennison and Lara shared. This couple described their wedding as “intimate, personal, and warm.” And those feelings also resonated with their family and friends.
