This Couple Had a Beautiful Unplugged Wedding in a Nature Reserve

Jico and Jessie’s wedding non-negotiable was celebrating in the beauty of the outdoors. This couple met in a mountaineering organization back in college, and they both enjoy activities such as hiking, and rock climbing. So, it’s more than fitting to hold a special milestone in a kind of venue that is close to their hearts. Jico and Jessie planned an unplugged wedding in a nature reserve where they could spend quality time with their family and friends while being surrounded by the serenity only the outdoors can bring. Bride Jessie shares, “Celebrating our wedding disconnected from cellular reception and in the heart of the Sierra Madre, it became such a bonding experience for everyone who was there.”

Beyond their love for outdoor activities, Jico and Jessie are also advocates of environmental sustainability and efforts that benefit communities. Their wedding favors were from local farmers and beekeepers, their wedding rings were made from recycled post-consumer gold, and even the crew meals they provided were prepared by the local residents living near Mount Purro. Their wedding was both a celebration of their union and a chance to share an advocacy that they highly value.
