This Couple Joyfully Waited to Say ‘I Do’ After 9 Years of LDR

This couple’s wedding day is truly blessed, especially since they waited for a total of 13 years until they could finally become husband and wife. Marc and Pau started seeing each other in 2008, but from 2012 up to just right before their wedding, they had to spend much time apart while the groom was based in Melbourne. For 9 out of 13 years of their relationship, saying hello and goodbye at the airport became their regular routine. So, how did they overcome miles and timezones between them? It was through their unswerving faith in God. Through their constant communication with each other, and to the Lord in prayer, they were able to rise above the difficulties. Marc and Pau also shared their LDR experiences in their very own podcast called Beyond Miles and Timezones, here they talked about how faith and love helped them patiently and joyfully wait for the day they could be together forever. It’s no surprise why so much tears of joy were flowing during their wedding. We’re sure their loved ones felt the couple’s happiness, because the day they have been waiting for finally came! Even the mishap of their tent falling over their guests during their first dance did not dampen the joy of their wedding. Instead, they felt the love and support of their nearest and dearest so much more as they all raised their arms to hold the tent above their heads!

We hope this wedding will fill you with hope and happiness, too. Enjoy scrolling through these photos by Moki Cruz Photography.

“Our first dance became even more memorable as the parachute tent fell on top of everyone while we were dancing! Surrounded by our loved ones and our lovely suppliers, they all held their hands up high to hold the tent up for us so we could continue to dance and savor the moment. We felt the heartwarming love of the Lord for us even more through their selfless act. Everything was just so perfect at that time even with the seemingly untimely flaw. Through this, we saw how the Lord proves that He will always find ways to show us that He’s got our backs.” Marc and Pau
