A Day With White

I actually got to spend two weeks in one of my most favorite places in the world. In two days I head back home and I simply can’t wait to write again.

I love springtime in San Francisco (will be writing about my little vacation when I get back)! I loved being here and being inspired. And I am even more thrilled to write about something that all of you will love as well.

I visited David’s Bridal to take a closer look at the White Collection by Vera Wang. Since a lot of you have been so curious about it, I decided to take a field trip and take some photos–I even got to try out a gown! I particularly fell in love with the pink number, but I’d say there were a lot of pretty styles as well. Thanks Victoria and Soroneda of David’s Bridal for helping me out.

Will be home soon darlings!

Hugs and Love,

  1. Gorgeous dress!!!
So what do you think about the quality? Looking forward for your review! Cos I live overseas that I might buy the dress online. Thank you doll!

  2. that has got to be the cleanest david’s bridal i’ve ever seen. did you get to try on the pink printed gown? looks interesting.

    1. Was only able to try one gown, but would’ve loved to try on more! We actually weren’t planning to pass by the store but only chanced upon it while going somewhere else, so I also didn’t have much time to try out other gowns.

  3. Hello Janna, I chanced upon your blog and would like to know if White by VW dresses would fit the usual Filipina frame? We seem to have the same body built (maybe I’m a bit broad shouldered though). Coz I’m planning to get the very same gown you fit. I’ll buy the gown online, have it shipped to my sister’s address in the US and she’ll mail it to me thru Johnny Air. I’ll just have it altered but hoping it’ll be minimal. Do you think it’s a good idea? Thanks!

    1. The sizing is standard, but fitting shouldn’t be a problem if you plan to alter it, which is what most RTW wedding gown buyers do. Just make sure you err on the side of the gown being too big because it’s easier for them to work with more material than it is to try to make it bigger. As to how much alteration is needed, I’m not an expert on wedding gown fit so I wouldn’t be able to tell, but I think if you really like the design then it should be worth the effort of bringing it in!

    1. Hi Pia,

They are kind of true to US size. I’m really tall, 5’9 and I wear a size 6 in RTW, and I fit into a 6 for their bridal as well. You can also try emailing them for a size chart!

  4. hi Janna! thanks for doing this review, very helpful. what worries me is the alteration, would you know any good ones out there who have had experience in altering any gown from this collection?

  5. Hi, I really love Vera gowns, are the White vera gowns comparable to a real Vera? Aesthetic and fabric wise?tia
