The Toast Wedding Fair is right around the corner, and if you’ve been tuning in to our videos, you’ll notice we’ve been featuring our Toast Couple, J and Wyn. Did you know that J and Wyn are a real-life bride and groom? That’s right! This couple was getting ready for their big day while we featured them in the Toast Wedding Fair photoshoot. We even had the chance to know more about their love story, and we’re so excited to share it with you today.
Love happens over a series of different stages. It starts with that bit of awkwardness during the first time you meet, and then the thrill of getting to know one another until you finally realize, “I’ve found the one whom I can’t live without.”
This is the story of J and Wyn’s stages of love.
It was the summer of 2017, Wyn was on vacation in Siargao with her friends, while J was there for a work trip. They happened to be surfing in the same spot. At that time, former Miss Universe candidate, Venus Raj, was with J’s group. Being a former Miss Cebu and Binibining Pilipinas bet herself, Wyn, along with her friends, were excited to take photos with Venus.
“They got to talking and eventually Venus invited their group to join us for dinner. That’s where we officially met each other and had our first conversation. And the rest was history,” says J.
J then asked Wyn for her Instagram handle, and from then on they started following each other. One conversation sparked countless more. Eventually, the next stage of their story began to fall into place.
“It was months and months of constant communication. We’d update each other about our day-to-day activities, and even some intimate details about our lives,” says Wyn. “That’s how we developed a strong connection with each other.”
After a year of getting to know one another, J and Wyn officially became a couple. They’re a laidback pair who enjoys bonding over simple things.
“We love eating out, watching movies, playing in arcades, and working out together,” they share.
And then their conversations naturally evolved from daily updates to planning for their future together.
Who would’ve thought that one summer trip in Siargao would lead to this? The life-changing happiness of finding your soulmate and saying “I Do.”
J and Wyn recently tied the knot in a gorgeous Modern Filipiniana-themed wedding surrounded by their loved ones. They planned for several months, and to see their special day come to life was undoubtedly a dream come true.
After the wedding, the stages of their love story will only continue to unfold.
