Did you know that Mark Zuckerberg and Priscilla Chan’s wedding was a surprise to their guests? They invited them over to celebrate Mark’s birthday and Priscilla’s graduation from medical school, but the guests were actually present to witness the two exchange wedding vows in an intimate and heartfelt affair in his backyard. Inspired by their humor and wit, Dom and Trish planned a similar surprise for their friends and family by inviting them to their daughter Athena’s Christening. The bridal entourage were in on the game plan so they could help organize the details of the wedding, which was planned by the bride Trish herself, not even an on-the-day coordinator in sight!

The couple chose a venue with a Chapel to hold the Christening and an outdoor garden for the wedding ceremony. The garden was styled with fresh white flowers, which made the pink accents and entourage gowns really stand out. White parasols were also distributed to protect guests from rain and provide shade from the sun. The Christening was similarly styled with the bride donning a flower crown of the same color palette. The reception followed at the couple’s home, where they served a BBQ feast and unlimited alcohol. Guests also enjoyed a takoyaki cart, a popcorn bar, and sparklers for later in the evening.
