An Elegant Wedding with an Orange and Black Color Scheme

Setting the mood for a wedding can be done in many ways, and for Ian and Yana’s wedding it was clearly the unique selection of color scheme that connected everything and set the tone for elegance and drama. Orange and black together may sound harsh at first, but one look at the execution here proves that putting it together comes down to the little details. Burnt orange and mustard yellow leaves set against a deep black backdrop (like the night sky) and soft dangling lights transformed the Grand Hyatt’s ballroom into a scene from another world. In the masterful hands of Gideon Hermosa, Ian and Yana’s guests were transported to a forest on the brink of fall, with all the warm colors embracing them at every turn. Burnt orange also enveloped the bridesmaids, who looked lovely in their dresses which had floral accents on them, tying everything together seamlessly. The groom stood out in a soft gold tie, while his groomsmen’s ties were the same shade of burnt orange as the bridesmaids. Finally, Yana, resplendent in white, stood out against everything, just as every bride should. Enjoy these photos captured by BrilliantBum Photography!
