Every bride wants to have that gorgeous bridal glow for her big day. We asked skin expert Dr. Kaycee Reyes of Luminisce to give us some of the most practical and helpful skin care tips that brides need to know. Make sure you read up and practice these ASAP!
1. Profile your skin
Assess what your problem areas are and address those, so that by the time your wedding day comes in, you’re good to go.
This is probably the most overlooked beauty ritual in the world. No amount of moisturiser, beauty product, or laser can ever give you the look you’re aiming for if you only get six to seven hours (or less) of sleep daily. Nothing beats the whole eight-hour refreshing sleep look. Well, four layers of makeup can, but who wants to have that much makeup on their face all the time?
3. Sunscreen, sunscreen, sunscreen
Face, neck, shoulders, and lips. Yes, you read that right, lips! Again, sunscreen, sunscreen, sunscreen.
4. Fruits, veggies, and water
Eat lots of fruits and vegetables and drink lots of water. Hydrate and take a lot of moisture so that the outside will be a reflection of what’s in the inside.
5. Lessen stress
We know it’s easier said than done, but try to get rid of as many stressful things as you can in your life. Minimize them so that they don’t affect the way you look and feel about life and yourself. Get rid of stress before they get rid of your soft and smooth skin.
6. Have a beauty regimen
A lot of women love routine, and if you’re one of those women, this is the best time to have one. Choose the right products, create a routine, then stick to it. This is what guarantees that glowing look on your wedding day.
7. Keep yourself hydrated with this fruit
Watermelons are your best friend because they will keep your skin hydrated. Yes, “hydrated” is the word you want to remember!
8. Learn a thing or two from snakes
They shed off old skin, and so should you. Exfoliate once a month to make sure that your skin is also replaced by exfoliating the dead skin cells. Replace, don’t chase.
9. Clean your makeup brushes
Fond of makeup? Make sure that you clean your makeup brushes once a month, because just like your pillow and bed, they accumulate dirt and bacteria. You don’t want to put dirt and icky things on your face, do you?
10. Take supplements for faster skin regeneration
If you really want to double up your skin regeneration, take some supplements to accelerate the healing process of your skin. Choose ones that are filled with Omega-3 and those that increase metabolic efficiency.
Cleanse, Tone, and Moisturise. These are three words that will save the day. They will matter the most to your skin, especially in the days leading up to your wedding, so don’t forget, CTM!
12. Enlist the help of experts
Schedule a visit with your skin care expert and make it a monthly habit. Invest in your skin so that your skin would be the least of your problems.
With these beauty tips we’re most definitely sure you’ll have beautiful glowing skin in no time!
