Behind the Scenes: Beauty and the Beloved

A few weeks ago, I had the privilege of being part of one of the most gorgeous editorials I’ve ever seen. I wanted to show you a video that will reflect how everyone really worked hard to make this happen. These are artists coming together with one goal–to inspire brides (and our other readers)! Enjoy this behind-the-scenes video of the Beauty and the Beloved editorial.

Location: Angelfields Tagaytay. We could not have wished for a more gorgeous venue to do this shoot. This wide spread of greenery is just pure perfection.

Photography: J Lucas Reyes is one of the most passionate photographers I know. His approach is classy and timeless. I mean, come on right? I think my words will fail to fully reflect the work he’s done in this shoot. He gives his 101% to his subjects without compromising his own standards.

Videography: Cinemaworks has been on our radar from day one. These guys are not just packed with skill, they are funny and very easy to work with. Marvi was able to execute how we envisioned the trailer to be. It got just the same admiration and applause as the photos!

Flowers and Styling: Pat Pastelero of  Spruce Floral Designs was definitely one of the key suppliers that made this editorial the way it is. Her tasteful and lush approach on flowers DID NOT disappoint. The nice thing about Pat is that she never scrimps on her blooms. When you see her work, you know it’s nothing but the best! And did you see that swing? I think it was pure genius!

Dresses:

  • Maureen Disini: We adore this mauve lace dress she made. With an amazing fit and elegant style, we just fell in love with this dress.
  • Pronovias: I can’t express how blessed we were to have this RTW piece from Mi Sueño Bridal in the shoot. It was simply exquisite. There is always something beautiful about white lace.
  • Eric Delos Santos: That fully embellished dress is what dream wedding gowns are made of!

Suits: Just as the wedding gown of the bride is important, the suit is too. KC Mempin is one of the hidden gems of the suit industry. The fit is impeccable and the choice of fabric and style is really what we think suits should be.

Bowties: Bowties are pretty big now in weddings and Rummage PH provided us with the most style-savvy ones ever.

Paper and Invitations: Fozzy of the The Fozzy Book is a calligraphy superstar. She can make your heart skip a beat with her beautiful craft. Paper has never been more wonderful!

Cake: Peachy Juban is very passionate about her craft. She really made sure that the cake would reflect what this shoot is about. Pretty and yummy, huh?

Make-up: I love Ericka Regino‘s work. She’s one of the most skilled and down-to-earth makeup artists I know. Definitely a person you’d want to have on your big day.

Styling, Art Direction and Concept Development: Rachelle Que worked her magic in developing the concept I gave her. As a result, everyone knew exactly what we we’re going to create. We couldn’t have done this without her!
