When Pretty Meets Cutie

So you know how once in a while I insert a baby feature here in Bride and Breakfast? Well I guess this is one of those days. I’ll be giving birth in about 7-10 weeks and I am totally excited to see the lil’ guy. So forgive me for interrupting our usual wedding eye candy with something pink and pretty. Of course I am also posting this because it does have some relation to the bridal goodies we all love. First of all, the theme is definitely cute for a baby’s birthday bash, but can also be channeled to a charming theme for one’s I do’s (yay for pom poms and those amazing table settings)! Another is this celebration was actually coordinated by a B&B regular, Ernest Pascual. Not only is he making his usual waves in the wedding scene, but is now sprinkling his magic touch through er.nest his new children’s events service. Other suppliers we only often associate to getting hitched did one spectacular job. The gorgeous flowers and styling were done by Jing Tanada. And Bea is probably one of the first toddlers to sport a Veluz creation. Who said only weddings deserved this kind of attention? A new era of cutie parties have arrived.

A Day and a Dress to Remember

This story is about a beautiful bride, Alison, and her journey down the aisle to meet the love of her life, JB. It’s also a story of a drop-dead gorgeous gown that was designed from the heart to celebrate not only a wedding, but the memoir of a good friend. Our Tuesday may start off a bit dramatic (bring it on!), but this letter definitely touched my heart and I’m sure almost any bride would love to tell epic tales of how “their dress” came to be.  Alison shares a letter to her designer Veejay Floresca.

Dearest Veejay,

Writing this letter breaks my heart because I wouldn’t have to if Brian was still here. As you know, he was supposed to make my wedding gown, and with him gone, walking down the aisle in a beautiful Leyva creation will just have to happen in another lifetime.

As much as I hate to “replace” him, life must go on… I knew immediately that I wanted to work with someone who was close to Brian. I mentally listed all of Brian’s YDG friends, and Veejay, you were top of mind.

Do you mind taking over Brian’s reigns? I hope don’t feel that I am getting in the way of your artistry, but if you say yes (I hope you will), I would like us to work on a Floresca-Leyva collaboration of sorts as a tribute to our dear friend. I’d want dashes of Brian’s signature touches, but with a distinct Floresca look.

How does that sound? If you feel this project is not for you, let me know. I’d understand…

Love,

Alison

Spring and Serendipity

Although we might be expecting heavy rains today, it’s still gonna be bright and sunny here at Bride and Breakfast. Albert and Nicole’s wedding is filled with simple and dainty details, not to mention hues that are easy on the eyes and all about youth and freshness. Ohhhhh! Those outfits of the whole entourage are all so cute, cute, cute! Another thing I am loving are the flowers used for the reception–it kinda reminds me of an English garden theme. Yes, I am a sucker for those spring tones! So jump in and enjoy the photos. Have a great Thursday B&B’ers!

Vintage Variety

Today is a very special day! It’s my husband’s birthday (yay)! I really can’t wait to spend it with him. But before I do that, let me leave you with this gorgeous vintage shoot–that way everyone’s happy right? Loving the various layouts and cute dresses. From fun to drama, David and Ruby sure rocked every frame. Cheers to love and life!

Sugar and Spice and Everything Nice

I’m always on the lookout for unique and stylish real couple’s shoots. Today I wanna let out a loud “Woohoo!” since I have some good stuff for all of you! Bryan and Ethelyn are not new to Bride and Breakfast. Their vintage wedding was featured sometime last year and guess what? They still had a few tricks up their sleeve. Ethelyn shares their post-wedding photo shoot. Tutus and ribbons and everything nice!
