Simply SoCal

It’s not everyday that I get to say that my job requires treasure hunting. Then again, that’s exactly how I feel when I discover a well-styled wedding. Mark (of Mark Cantalejo Photography) and Linette’s rustic Southern California-ish affair is so dreamy and delightful–and yes, B&B struck gold when this landed our way. Being a wedding photographer, Mark’s style of shooting captured perfectly their beautiful big day. You will simply fall into a detail trance once you see all the elements that give out a relaxed and chic feel for this wedding. Styling a tasteful affair is all about knowing when to go all out and when to hold back–pretty doesn’t always have to mean grand. Remember, less is more, and this gorgeous wedding is definitely proof of that! Everything, and I literally mean EVERYTHING is so amazing. Hello dainty details… you just made us fall in love!

Promises and Pretties

Today is pretty special. Since we launched the new look of Bride and Breakfast yesterday, we feel that it is very important that we start off this week with a dose of pretty. The best way to do that is to have bucket loads of inspiration for you, and a wedding that will leave you wanting more!

I’ve been saving Conrad and Margaux’s wedding shot by Pat Dy for this day. Not only is this an affair oozing with elegance, it’s also filled with dainty details. But I must admit the scene stealer for this lovely fête is really the bride and her oh-so-gorgeous Veluz gown. The applique is simply breathtaking and the attention to detail is ridiculously superb–I think this one of the best Veluz gowns I’ve seen so far! What I am also totally loving is the post-wedding shoot where Margaux paired the skirt of the gown to a casual white tee and tons of pearls. Talk about effortless style.

The Nook: Well Done!

So once in a while I get to write about things outside weddings. With the growing number of followers of Bride and Breakfast, I am hoping The Nook will be a means for all of you to get to know me a little better.

God created all of us for a purpose–some singers, some doctors, some missionaries, some astronauts and yes, some bloggers too! Many of you might be at a crossroads and still figuring out what you wanna do in life. The journey is not always easy. It even took me years to get to this conclusion that I should be blogging. Yes, tears and laughter were definitely in the mix somewhere. But the thing with God is when he calls you to do something, He also equips you to get the job done. Today, I am just beyond amazed with how B&B has evolved. My desire has always been to appreciate Christ’s beauty, reflected in all of the wonderful weddings I get to write about. I am also ecstatic knowing how many people the blog has reached and helped. And what’s also amazing are the friendships that are built along the way.

Hopefully, at the end of this life, His light and truth has been magnified in B&B, and I would be able to hear two sweet words from my master and creator, “Well Done!”.

This song of Moriah Peters hits the spot!

Where Tasteful Meets True Love

Dear reader,

We welcome you to the new Bride and Breakfast. Because of the heartwarming support from all of you, B&B continues to reinvent itself to better serve our followers. Having a new look for the website is just another step towards our desire to always inspire. Along with our launch of the site, you can expect more beautiful weddings, lots of giveaways, tasteful inspirations, practical articles and thoughts from the editor (me) at The Nook. I will be talking more about the new website in the coming days, but right now I just wanna say I am so beyond excited, and I hope you are too!

This is where tasteful meets true love. Let the beauty begin!

Hugs and Love,
