Candid Colors of Love

There’s something appealing about weddings that are full of character. Handmade details that reflect something unique to you and your partner are personal and remarkable. Little bits and pieces of these are what make nuptials so special! Jason and Kristy’s wedding is a rainbow of art and crafty decor. It’s so rich with color, and I love how the bursts of yellow and orange in the bouquets added a ray of warmth to the soiree.

Once Upon A Time: A Modern Fairytale Editorial

Just when we think fairytales are for little boys and girls, we get to work on something so magical that we find ourselves believing in fairytales once again. Here at B&B, we strive to bring to you the best ideas for your own big day. Just a few months ago, we brought you the First Love Editorial which probably left you in a state of giddiness! Today we excitedly bring you more (yey!). In hopes of inspiring each and every one of you with this gorgeous editorial, we bring to you elements that are fit for a damsel and her prince.

This modern fairytale was shot by the rising-like-a-rocket, up-and-coming photographer Marlon Capuyan for Bride and Breakfast has left us simply lost for words. Together with Cuckoo Cloud Concepts, a tasteful styling team that we have had our eyes on for months now, we knew that we struck gold. This editorial is quite special in our hearts since it is the first ever shoot that had 100% Cebu-based suppliers, all of which have delivered way beyond our expectations (check out the supplier list below). Real-life engaged couple Vaughn and Nana were shot in Gaite Ranch, located just two hours away from the city, and is perfect for a destination wedding.

We hope you love this as much as we do!

The Tides of Love

We’ve been seeing a lot of photos of outdoor weddings, so today why don’t we bring life and movement to these images? Here’s an amazing video by Mayad, capturing beautiful moments under the sunset, loving embraces on the shore, and heartfelt vows in the presence of God and family. Happy were the tears and smiles seen all throughout the clip, showing us a window into Ray and Vera’s friendship and love story–a winning combination in my book! I can’t help it, exchanges like these leave me teary-eyed and breathless. Then the hopeless romantic in me is let loose for about five minutes and revels in the music, the shared affection, and the love found.

Pay attention to the detail and delight over the crafts and bouquets, arranged by the Midas touch of Vatel Manila and {etc} Handmade Goodness.

It’s a sunny Monday, and it’s a marvelous day to fall in love.

Pastel Pleasantries

If you are a hopeless romantic like me, then you’ll love what we have for you today! We just love that spring-themed weddings most often mean soft colors, warm sunlight, and the kiss of fresh air. These also perfectly describe Nath and Lai’s wedding. Having a love for the outdoors and sunny rays, this couple celebrated an oh-so-beautiful affair  that makes us giddy with delight. It was a day of charming details indeed. And I definitely pored over the beautiful calligraphy, handmade boutonnières and decor, and light dainty dresses–all in pretty pastel hues!

Swim in a sea of colors cool on the eyes with this set from Toto Villaruel. Enjoy!

Celebrity Engagement Shoot: Jon Herrera and Patti Grandidge

When the movers and shakers of today’s social scene decide to tie the knot, it’s almost impossible not to take notice. You know it’s going to be a visual feast of style, beauty, and pure fun. Such was our excitement when we heard about Jon and Patti’s engagement shoot with MangoRed! Jon Herrera a.k.a. Johnny Verse, and  Patti Grandidge, model, TV host, and the face behind Sweet Patti Cakes, are such distinct individuals in their respective fields, and we love how each frame brought that to life! Their passions and personalities shone through, and yet it wasn’t about the clothes, nor the venue, nor a certain theme–it’s just all about Jon and Patti. And what that leaves us with is nothing less than a we’re-so-in-love-and-it’s-pretty-awesome kind of engagement shoot!
