My Fair Ladies Editorial

Are we having the loveliest morning or what? If we made a list of our favorite things (and people) in this world, then we’d have a big check mark on today’s editorial. Gorgeous cakes… check! A beautiful garden location and awesome set styling… check!  Our faves from the wedding industry… a big check!

Let’s go through it shall we? We perfectly know that a Veluz gown can make a thousand jaws drop in a matter of seconds. Well… what if you get to see nine of them all at once? These dresses hail from the recently launched Veluz RTW bridal collection, and yes, we cannot stop swooning over them. The famous and lovely lady photog Jaja Samaniego and flower genius Dylan Gozum of Vatel Manila invited us to be part of this masterpiece shoot and we didn’t hesitate on our “yes”! Maybe that’s due to knowing everything these folks touch turns into awe-inspiring art. And because we just love, love, love the idea of inspiring our readers, we can’t wait for you to see it yourself. Oh yes… we’re having the loveliest morning indeed!

    Rendezvous in Shanghai

Let’s start the week off with poignant romance. Pack up your little distractions and fly off for a few minutes into your imagination with this engagement shoot from Pat Dy. This shoot made my heart skip a beat–it’s sweet, passionate, and simply stylish. There’s also an air of sentimentality that comes from the beautiful structures and architectural details. It evokes the air of an old romance in a big city–two people finding their way to each other amidst the hustle and bustle of the metropolis. Isn’t that enough to send your heart racing? Add to that all the other elements like: dramatically shot details, chic and sleek ensembles, perfect lighting, and of course, a couple in love… and you are brought into a love story perfectly narrated in photographs.

Happy Monday, dear readers. Here’s one to jumpstart your hopeless romantic hearts!

    English Elegance

Good morning, B&B-ers! Today we take a break from our tropical atmosphere and enjoy a wedding by MangoRed from the alluringly chilly gardens of England. Rob and Celine’s wedding is telltale of everything English–charming, elegant, formal, and refined. From the calligraphy, to the neutral palette of the entourage dresses, down to the straightforward table setup, and even the guests! Everything looked delightfully dignified. It’s fun to get posh and polished every once in a while too!

This set is a refreshing interlude to our wedding lineup. Best viewed with the tunes of Ella Fitzgerald softly playing in the background!

    Belle and the Blue

The beauty of destination weddings lies in its offer of a break from the routine of everyday life. Everything looks just a little bit more magical, a hint dreamier, and a dash more delightful. Everyone is tinged with a happy glow and radiant with excitement. Such was true of Eug and Pia’s wedding–the details are all kinds of charming! I really loved the wreath bouquet and the studded bridal shoes–they were so unique and unconventional. Nelwin Uy does it again and captures each rich moment into beautiful photographs.

Step into this fête laced with a pretty pastel palette and daydream with us for a bit this sunny Wednesday.

    Love’s Morning Elegance

There is something about classics that hold so much beauty and elegance. Marco and Vanni’s wedding is a wonderful example of how subtlety works. The details are a seamless marriage of timeless and modern–seen in the groom’s dapper pairing of blue and khaki, and the bride’s gorgeous peplum serpentina lace gown. I also found the mixing of colors so sophisticated! Whites with deep rich blues and violets are perfectly unassuming and tasteful. I love the way Nez Cruz captured moments bubbling with raw happiness and candor. What a joyous occasion to just enjoy the company of family and friends!

Jump in and delight in the warmth of this wedding–no pretentions, just straight-to-the-point love celebrated in style.
