Dreamers and Destiny

It’s quite charming when I chance upon videos that are totally out of the box and entirely D.I.Y.! Cayo and Sarah’s Save-the-Date video is a perfect example that wedding planning can bring out the creative side of couples. I can just imagine how much fun these two had doing the entire thing by themselves. I dunno about you, but this is just plain adorable!

Sarah: We came up with this stop motion video of two dreamers who share one simple dream–a lifetime of waking up next to the same wonderful person every day. The props were made entirely by ourselves, with the help of my artistic little sister.  We scrounged around Chinatown and Chatuchak in Bangkok for the materials, designed the props and made a storyboard. We shot the video on my living room floor and edited the video ourselves.

City Chic Charm

This is probably one of my favorite couple portraits shot in the city. It takes skills to make a busy and industrialized environment feel soft, surreal and extra romantic. That’s exactly what Nelwin Uy did when he took Brandon and Elisa’s photos in New York. Chic, tasteful and effortless, the couple’s theme simply brought out their personalities, playfulness and passion for each other.

A Day of Love, Life and Style

So you might be wondering what this post is all about. Well, a while back, I had this crazy idea to have this photo shoot with some friends–yup, you heard it right, friends! This may not be a real couple or a real entourage, but one thing is for sure, they put their game face on to inspire B&B’ers. Yes, these people have been such a support to me in keeping Bride and Breakfast running! So one day, we just decided to have fun and play dress-up. I called Jaja Samaniego three days before the shoot and she was in! Our look was simple, elegant and unassuming–a style we love seeing here at B&B.

With the amazing bridal gowns from Mi Sueño Bridal Boutique, the dapper suits from Merger, the bridesmaids skirts from Eric de los Santos, and our very own Vatel Manila bouquets, we certainly had a day of celebrating love, life and style!

    Simply SoCal

It’s not everyday that I get to say that my job requires treasure hunting. Then again, that’s exactly how I feel when I discover a well-styled wedding. Mark (of Mark Cantalejo Photography) and Linette’s rustic Southern California-ish affair is so dreamy and delightful–and yes, B&B struck gold when this landed our way. Being a wedding photographer, Mark’s style of shooting captured perfectly their beautiful big day. You will simply fall into a detail trance once you see all the elements that give out a relaxed and chic feel for this wedding. Styling a tasteful affair is all about knowing when to go all out and when to hold back–pretty doesn’t always have to mean grand. Remember, less is more, and this gorgeous wedding is definitely proof of that! Everything, and I literally mean EVERYTHING is so amazing. Hello dainty details… you just made us fall in love!

    Promises and Pretties

Today is pretty special. Since we launched the new look of Bride and Breakfast yesterday, we feel that it is very important that we start off this week with a dose of pretty. The best way to do that is to have bucket loads of inspiration for you, and a wedding that will leave you wanting more!

I’ve been saving Conrad and Margaux’s wedding shot by Pat Dy for this day. Not only is this an affair oozing with elegance, it’s also filled with dainty details. But I must admit the scene stealer for this lovely fête is really the bride and her oh-so-gorgeous Veluz gown. The applique is simply breathtaking and the attention to detail is ridiculously superb–I think this one of the best Veluz gowns I’ve seen so far! What I am also totally loving is the post-wedding shoot where Margaux paired the skirt of the gown to a casual white tee and tons of pearls. Talk about effortless style.
