The Inspire Initiative Sale

As most of you know, The Inspire Initiative has been working hard in engaging the wedding industry, our readers, and those about to get married to take part in raising help for the relief and rehabilitation of those affected by typhoon Yolanda. We’re thrilled to announce that the first two events, The Inspire Couple’s Shoot Marathon, as well as the The Inspire Benefit Backyard BBQ were both a huge success because of the overwhelming support we have received. Today, I am delighted to announce another exciting way you can help.

At exactly 9:00am tomorrow, December 2, 2013, The Inspire Initiative will be opening The Inspire Initiative Sale. For any couple looking for a good deal with great suppliers, this is one of the best ways you can help out. These vendors have graciously donated their services to the sale, and items will be sold at a discounted price. Proceeds will go to the rebuilding efforts of Habitat for Humanity. A portion of the sales will also be used to buy relief goods that will be distributed by Arugaan Creche, an NGO that is one of the top 10 advocates of breastfeeding in the Philippines. It doesn’t get better than this!

So head on to The Inspire Initiative Sale, and enjoy the best deals ever! Make sure you read the instructions on the How To Buy page before purchasing the wonderful services and products.

Happy wedding shopping, folks!

Behind-the-Scenes of The Inspire Couple’s Shoot Marathon

Words can’t even express how grateful we are for the success of The Inspire Couple’s Shoot Marathon. We’re totally thrilled to announce that through this event, we we’re able to raise: (Drumroll please…)

The Inspire Initiative team: Dylan of Vatel Manila, Lace of I Love Koi, Joed of Joed See Events, Kathleen of Spark + Twinkle, Lisa of Jeff and Lisa Photography, Janna and Ian of Bride and Breakfast, and Jaja Samaniego. Louise Lane, the official representative from UNICEF received the giant check worth PhP 328,400. (Woot, woot!!!)

Here’s a group photo we took in one of the booths during the shoot marathon.

You must simply see how much fun we had raising this support. We’d like to thank all the suppliers who participated. These men and women simply gave 101% to make sure this day was spectacular. And that day, they used their talents to really give back to the nation. The video below created by Zoombox says it all.

Guests at the Bride and Breakfast Garden Soiree

Here are some of the photos of the wonderful people who came and supported us. The event wouldn’t have been a success if it weren’t for them! It’s nice to see the wedding suppliers chilling, relaxing, and just bonding with each other. I hope everyone had a great time because I can’t wait for next year!!!

Bride and Breakfast Garden Soirée 2013

It’s been a couple of months since we celebrated our first-ever Bride and Breakfast Garden Soirée. Many of you might be wondering what exactly it is. The garden soirée is a party we threw for wedding suppliers in the Philippines, sort of like a thank you and a meet-and-greet. For the last three and a half years, we’ve been blogging about many of these suppliers, some of whom we have never met, so the affair was the perfect time to do so. But because Bride and Breakfast is a sucker for style and details, we made sure that we came up with something enjoyable as well as pleasingly memorable.

Of course this would not be possible if it weren’t for the talented suppliers who made the Tropical Luxe theme come to life.

Before the event, we wrote about the gorgeous invites that we sent out. Collaborating with the most creative paper and design geniuses in the Philippines, this invite certainly set the mood. We cannot thank Printsonalities, The Fozzy Book, and Arlene Sy enough, because they set a pretty high bar for the newest wedding invitation trend–3D, personalized, artistic, and high-quality. Thanks to these awesome people, this invite received overwhelming compliments from our guests.

So for couples who want to give your guests a whole new experience, we totally recommend a 3D invite for your wedding.

    Quaint Cuteness

If there’s something we can’t say no to, it’s a playfully quaint celebration. Richmond and Yeye’s wedding that Toto Villaruel sent our way is just that. With a few modern twists and a whole lot of pretty, this affair will surely tickle your love bones. It’s not everyday that we get to feature a bride with really short hair (I love it!) and a gown with gold geometric embellishments. Add that to the usually gorgeous Vatel Manila bouquets and the cutest buttounieres by {etc} Handmade Goodness and you’ve got yourself the perfect day.
