Hello beach lovers! Today’s seaside affair will surely be a source of ooohs and aaahhhs this beautiful morning. KC and Jmie’s fun and funky fête is totally making us dream of piña coladas and dancing under the stars as waves crash on the shore. Notice some not-so-traditional bridesmaid outfits? That definitely got our attention! Thank you We Do It For Love… this is certainly the perfect way to start our day.
I cannot describe how thrilled I was when I saw Allan and Jo’s engagement shoot. I have been dying to see someone sport a beautiful wreath such as this, and Jo was simply ethereal with it! With an AHMAAAZIIING team, it was destined to be beautiful beyond words, rain or shine (yup, it was raining cats and dogs when they shot this)! Then again, shooting against a romantic ranch scenery and J Lucas Reyes behind the lens, a Vatel Manila wreath (GASP!) to crown our gorgeous lady, charming styling by Aira Franco, and a couple who is in lo-lo-love… well that’s just a recipe for perfection.
We’re taking the term Monday Blues quite literally with today’s beautiful blue bash! Sparkly and glamorous, Mike and Anne’s wedding is all about the modern and maddeningly lovely. Let’s just say we know this is one affair that screams luxurious romance.
Some interesting tidbits from Oly Ruiz of Metrophoto:
I think this is the first time, albeit already having shot a lot of beautiful and expensive shoes, that one can claim to have the most expensive shoes that they can find. Not that they have to tell everyone, but it’s that I have to tell everyone. Hahaha! I think it’s just both so amusing and amazing that while the red-soled Christian Louboutin’s are very popular, Anne made sure that she had the best one for her wedding. So at the Beverly Hills boutique, they were ushered to a private VIP room where the rare designs of the said brand are stored. There, Anne tried and loved the Daffodil Blue Crystal 160 platform pumps–the perfect color for her wedding. The price? $6,395–enough budget for a decent wedding already. That may be too much information for some or just plain too much but who can blame them for having a knack for the best that life has to offer? They loved it, I loved it, everyone loved it. 🙂 She is a Metrophoto Bride after all.
The second unique thing? How about a wedding cake so cool (both literally and figuratively) that it actually emerges from the ceiling and gets lowered down by hydraulics for the cake-cutting ceremony? It was unlike anything I’ve seen before in a wedding and surely everyone was in awe. The cake was like an ‘icing on the cake’ for the reception that was truly done impeccably.
Again, these are just two of the countless things that make this wedding one-of-a-kind (actually, I can include that I’ve never seen a groom cry as much as Mike did) but I’ll skip the writing and lead you to the photos already, I’m sure you’re curious to see what a pair of shoes that is priced like a car looks like. Enjoy the photos of this beautiful and emotion-filled wedding of Mike and Anne.
So this has been one wedding we’ve been so excited to see for months now. Bam Aquino and Timi Gomez’s wedding is not only one to watch because they are known to the public eye here in the Philippines, but because this couple is genuinely amazing–and yes, so is their wedding. I know you’re hoping to see a long set of photos–I promise we’ll have them once our dear friend and amazing photographer Pat Dy gives it to us. In the meantime, enjoy the on-site slideshow by Pat and the same-day-edit video from Nice Print.
By the way, I can’t help but include a message we received from our gorgeous bride just a couple of hours ago–a heartwarming and down to earth message indeed! It makes blogging extra fulfilling!
It’s great to finally connect with you, although I am sending this through the impersonal “Contact Us” section of your blog. Haha! I feel like I’ve known you a long time, considering I’ve been reading (or maybe stalking level na?) your blog since I became engaged to Bam on January 1st of this year. I lived alone in Shanghai up until nearly July 1st, so indeed your blog was an inspiring and heartwarming wedding planning companion in the first 6 months of this year! And I continued to follow it even when I got back to Manila and was finally surrounded by the face time of my family and friends! In fact, I am so addicted to your blog that I even checked it while on honeymoon here on Apulit Island (yes, I have wedding planning withdrawal) and surprise, surprise our two videos were your entry today! Imagine that. It has come full circle! Thank you for unknowingly being such a big part of my super enjoyable wedding planning, along with so many family and friends who have generously given of themselves to enrich what is our biggest day yet: September 15, 2012! (And thanks to your hubby too, whose quoting Ecclesiastes 3:11 in one B&B entry, which also made it on our wedding invitation! Now, I am really Simpao stalker level!)
There is something quite nostalgic about open fields and sunlight. Maybe it’s the familiar comfort it exudes? Or the peaceful surroundings it portrays? Whatever it may be, Harry and Gizelle’s engagement shoot by Marlon Capuyan (I love his work!) has gotten me wrapped around its pretty little bohemian fingers. Pretty furniture, a well-styled wardrobe and some feather details set against this field of dreams is enough to send us to inspiration heaven.
