What We Hope 2022 Will Be Like for Soon-to-Wed Couples

These past (nearly) two years of living with the pandemic has been filled with innumerable challenges. We’ve encountered so many striking stories about couples who battled COVID together, were forced to cancel dream wedding plans they worked so hard on, and those who endured miles of distance from family even on their special day. Despite the trials and tribulations, we admire how each of these brides and grooms rose above the difficulties and pursued celebrating love no matter what. It fills us with joy to see all of you proving how love can triumph over anything.

We’ll soon have fresh, new 365 blank pages to fill with experiences, memories, and opportunities. Allow us to share with you some of the things we are hoping for and looking forward to in 2022. Read on and tell us what you wish the coming year will be like, too!

What We Hope 2022 Will Be Like for Soon-to-Wed Couples

Spending More Time with Your Nearest and Dearest
We hope we’ll be able to spend more time with our families in-person once again! Gatherings might not be limited to video calls anymore, your bride tribe could hold a memorable bachelorette party anywhere (not just virtually) and wedding guest lists could probably exceed 30 to 50. We’re looking forward to more days where we can have good ‘ol quality time with our loved ones, seated around one table, and having the heartiest conversations.

Exciting Wedding Planning Moments
If you just got engaged, congratulations! You are about to embark on one of the most exciting journeys of your life. If you’re still waiting for your partner to pop the question, who knows? It might just happen sooner than you think! And you could be on your way to planning the wedding of your fantasies. Wedding planning is a little different now with pandemic protocols to observe, but it will still be just as fun preparing your mood boards, meeting with your designer and collaborating on your dress, doing ocular visits for your reception and ceremony venues, choosing your flowers, and so much more.

Creative Ways of Celebrating Weddings
The year 2021 brought us weddings that exhibited the bride and groom’s creativity. We’ve featured several  wedding twists that truly stand out and were expressive of the couple’s personality. Some of these were a drive-by reception, multiple micro-celebrations, giving away take home meals, bride’s wearing suits instead of gowns, first looks, elopements, and so much more. This year, we’re looking forward to even more fun, quirky, and unique ways couples will choose to celebrate their special day. 2022 is bound to be an exciting year for weddings!

Your Dream Wedding Finally Coming True
Soon-to-wed couples can look forward to celebrating their dream wedding with the help of suppliers who, by now, are veterans at pandemic wedding planning! Contingency plans will be set in place, and safety regulations for each venue will already be familiarized by your team. If you had a smaller wedding or a civil wedding in 2020 or 2021, maybe 2022 could be the year you’ll finally have the grand event you’ve been dreaming of. How fun would it be to hold a wedding part 2?! COVID testing, mask wearing, and social distancing may still be recommended just to be safe, but apart from these, we’re hoping to see more weddings celebrated the way you envisioned them to be. Most of all, we’re looking forward to featuring and sharing so many more inspiring wedding stories this coming year.

Gaining New Experiences as Newlyweds
When the celebration is over your days will be about getting to know one another as spouses, becoming used to living together, and deciding on who does which chores. You’ll be experiencing both the ups and downs of life after the wedding, but what better way to go through it all than with the one you love? This could also be the year you’ll learn how to cook or discover new recipes your partner will enjoy eating, or the year when you travel together for the first time. 2022 could also be the year you invest in your first home, first car, or even your first business venture together. Whatever it may be, we hope you’ll get to make many memories together in this new chapter of your life!

While we don’t exactly know what 2022 has in store for us, we can continue to fill life with love and happier days. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year from your friends at Bride and Breakfast!

  1. Do you predict there will be a capacity limit on the number of guests? I believe I heard in 2021, only 150ppl can congregate and that includes the workers.

    1. Hi Ruby, it really depends on the pandemic situation here in the Philippines. As cases go up, the restriction on mass gathering become stricter–limiting guests to a minimum. It’s best to always check what the IATF rules are. Thanks and keep safe!
