After Changing Their Plan Twice, This Couple Finally Said Their I Do’s!

As Geo and Rizza were finalizing the details of their garden wedding in Tagaytay, Taal erupted. They decided to move their wedding to Manila given how unpredictable the situation still was, but even their altered plans didn’t pan out as the quarantine was declared. Despite all the unexpected challenges thrown at them, Geo and Rizza set their hearts on getting married and starting their own family this year no matter what. They adjusted their plans for a second time so they can finally say their “I do’s.” This couple held their intimate wedding ceremony and reception at a friend’s home instead with just their immediate family present. It may not have been the country garden wedding they had originally planned, and though Rizza had to give up her champagne-colored bridal gown, it still became the most meaningful and beautiful moment of their lives. Check out their story as told by Rizza herself along with these photos from Sorrelle Isles Film Co.

"We were both at peace with the situation and we embraced the changes that came. The excitement to get married overcame us. We stopped trying to control the wedding to the smallest detail." - Rizza, Bride

"We asked our friend if they could lend us their place to hold the ceremony and once we had that, I reached out to some of my original suppliers and asked if they were available. We only looked at key elements that we needed during the day: our food, our photographer and our grooming." - Rizza, Bride

"I had to let go of my beautiful champagne colored wedding gown! It wasn't finished since my designer had to stop operations. I wanted to make practical decisions. I opted to buy a simple white dress, something I could easily reuse on a regular day. Even though it felt like a sacrifice, I was pretty happy about this decision. As for my wedding gown, we're having it altered into a look that I could use in formal events as a guest instead of a bride." - Rizza, Bride

"I know it's hard, but try not go crazy over controlling the small details. Allow yourself to be happy about the things that go right as opposed to focusing your energy correcting the things that aren't going your way. All those small frustrations will melt away in comparison to the joy you'll feel on your wedding day, no matter how you choose to celebrate it. And always remind yourself that God's plan always works out for the good of His people, it's just a matter of perspective!" - Rizza, Bride

    1. Very clean and simple; I love the grooms wedding suit jacket, the navy blue color went well with the blue jeans for a clean casual look. Congratulations!

      1. Thanks for your inquiry! We’re sorry, but the suppliers list the couple gave are all that we have. We’ll leave your comment here and hopefully if the bride sees it, she can chime in. You may also try to ask any of the suppliers listed.
